Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Fck they are out to get us. What have we done as a club. Woody get your brown envelopes on the ready!

He only used his body weight to push the Chelsea player aside, so how's that a foul?
Not even that. And he wasn't even in the wall. Do they seriously expect players not to touch each other on a free kick like that?

Where's the advantage after a wreckless swipe challenge on Hughes by mophead

For those saying foul, listen to what the ref said. Guehi was less than 1m from the wall when the kick was taken, its an infringement not a foul. Ignore the muppts on sky sports who didnt listen to him.

Unfortunately you cant be less than 1m from the wall, its just how the laws are so not a goal...

This is true but why allow the kick to be taken in the first place?

In soccer, when a defensive wall of at least three players is formed during a free kick, attacking players must stand at least one meter away from the wall until the ball is in play. If an attacker encroaches within that meter, an indirect free kick is awarded to the defending team, according to TheFA.com. This rule was implemented to prevent disruptions and delays caused by attackers standing too close to the wall, according to The IFAB.

Half a second later and it wouldve been a goal, Guehi wasn't standing 1m from the wall, him pushing Caicedo around led to it just as the ball was struck

Your right . First time I've ever seen that rule enforced though

Imagine training your ass off to be at your physical best, and it gets punished in a game for being physically stronger than the opposition. absolute bull.
