Chelsea predictions.

Some nice optimism on here but realistically surely we'd all take a draw?
I expect a narrow loss - maybe 2-1 as we will probably score but it could be 3-1 at the death whilst we chase the game. The Ipswich result was poor for us, in my opinion.
Time to start looking upwards and focus on catching the team’s above us. The Ipswich result is important to Wolves and Everton.

Our draw earlier in the year was the first time we've managed to get a point vs. them in a long time (same thing with Tottenham this year, although that was a win).

I would love to see us get at least another point, but I don't think it will happen. My prediction is 3-0, Chelsea - an early goal, a goal around half-time and then a goal when we're chasing the game in the 80+ minutes.

That being said, this is not the game that matters most. We have fixtures against Leicester, West Ham, Brentford, Man U and Everton afterwards. A run of games we picked up 2 points from in the fall. These are the games we need at least 7-10 points from (out of 15).

Wet Spam will without Bowen for a while, got a broken foot & played on with it v L'pool.

I would love us to do an Ipswich on them, but alas, our finishing is so poor, that I will take a point all day long, however, I fear the worst as our form against London EPL clubs is not that great!

We'll obviously be without Chalobah which will be a blow. Hopefully Richards will do well in there but no top manager likes messing around with his back line.
I reckon it depends on our own attitude towards this game. A relaxed 'free hit' approach may not be enough to get the win. I think to beat this Chelsea team we'll need to be at our best and really determined. Its a difficult one to call.

Would be so happy with 2-1 but I'm going to say 1-1

Chelsea rested some of their best players v Ipswich, perhaps complacently, and deservedly lost the game.
I expect to see all their big guns back (including their strong bench) for the Palace game and think it will be difficult to keep them out.
I think they could score 2, can we match this to make it 2-2?

They have very capable wide players and I do have a concern if , as expected, Richards takes the right sided role in the back 3 behind Munoz at RWB.
For this game at least I would use Clyne for the role as he is comfortable defending this right sided area as he ably demonstrated at the end of last season.
I doubt too many will agree with me, but I have set out my reasoning.

I think the frequency of games impacted on Chelsea in their last game, but after a week off and with a few players returning, they will be better against us.

I'd be delighted with a draw.

Didn't take Man U long to turn him into another idiot.
We think we have it bad at times but imagine being Utd or spurs. Huge huge clubs who should be challenging for everything but no matter who is in as manager or how much money they have that are piss pour. Something stinks at these clubs because with the managers they have both had they should be doing so much more. Makes me appreciate how well Parish has done with our limited abilities.

I predict that a lot of prawn sandwiches will be eaten in the away end.

I don't come to this prediction via fishy means. A small crustacean told me.

Yes but the improvement in the team was instant.

Funny how things change during a season, we looked a far better team without Hughes that day, now he seems undroppable

I can't see anything but a chelsea win here, despite our upturn in form.
However, that doesn't mean we don't have a chance. Defend Resolutely and hit them on the counter, there's always a chance.

Heart says 2-0
Head says 0-2.
