Chelsea Predictions.

Think we'll have to forget about the last week for now. We have Danny and Ismaila back, which should make a huge difference. Let's just get behind Ollie JP and Parish tomorrow and take the points. If we start slagging off our own we'll get battered!

With Westham finding form, we will need Forest to keep slipping. Not hopeful for tomorrow but would take a point in the hope of returning players giving us wins in forthcoming matches? Squeaky bottom times ahead :-(

West Ham are making Sunderland look very average, although Xhaka's absence is really hurtung them as he makes Sunderland tick.
Wish we had got Summerville a few years ago when we had the chance.
Him and Bowen are full of menace down the sides and would really suit our system.
It's good to see wide players attack with pace driving to get into the penalty area.

I hope we go for it against Chelsea.
I hope we go for it as well but we both know we won’t. We will play the same turgid football as the last few weeks. Fail to score and concede a couple of soft goals. OG will do nothing to change it tactically. Would love to be proved wrong but right now I simply don’t see how we get out of this form

I think it's matter of inspiring the players to understand that whatever happens in the present affects the future, i.e. their future, their hopes and aspirations.

I said after last weekends games that in 3 games time, there is a very good chance that we will only be 1 or 2 point above the drop zone, and that is without us losing all 3.

I am far from a monger of doom, nor am I a happy clapper either. But I just dont understand how come so many (respected) members on here still say we are not going to be in a relegation battle during the second part of the season, especially with whats going on off the pitch too.

The on going problem we’ve got is that OG tactics seem to tire our players out. It clearly puts way more strain on them than 4-3-3. Very much doubt it will be any different tomorrow. But we can be a résiliant bunch and my glass is half full. 2-1 Palace.

Personally, I wouldn't rule out a relegation scrap. It would be something of a first for us, though. In the past we have avoided getting dragged into the mess even when we had worse squads, and have managed to arrest poor runs before getting into serious bother. The club is pretty battle-hardened in that respect, and its not like they don't know how to approach it.

On that front, I would think that sorting out the off-pitch stuff is critical in addressing what happens on it. Whilst club stability is not a guarantee of better performances and results, internal conflict (especially aired in public) is likely to result in poor performances and results. I think Parish has done well in that respect this week. People say we need three worse teams than us to stay up. Actually, I think you need one or two worser teams, and one or two more frantic, messy, squabbling clubs. I'm sure West Ham, Leeds, Forest etc were all hoping we would implode with in-fighting. Avoiding that is critical.

If the manger keeps his dummy in his mouth for a bit, a combination of stability, returning players, and a renewed focus on the chance to win another trophy might be enough to see us return to the necessary performance levels. We probably only need another three wins and three draws. Its not a lot.

I would be happy with a point against Chelsea, if it comes with either a return to defensive stability, or with us looking like a goal threat in open play. One or the other.

1-1. Johnson for Palace.

Darren “the dunce” England is referee. This is the referee who disallowed Eze’s goal against Chelsea because Guehi was too near the wall. The only referee in the EPL to apply this obscure rule. He also allowed Haaland to kick Andersen in the head (a sending off offence) and disallowed an Ayew goal in the same match when Edouard intercepted a poor throw out by the keeper. Matt Donohue on VAR has just two Premier League matches to his name and loves dishing out the yellow cards. I am not expecting anything a win.

Relax we only need to win 4 out of our last 16 games to hit 40 points. Or are you a Spurs fan ?

Simple!

We've had 3 of our most influential players out for weeks. Munoz and Sarr are back this week. Kamada might be back next

We are shite at home even when things are ok. So the odds of us not being shite are not good.
Let’s hope Selhurst lifts the team and defies the odds. COYP
