When we started the De Boer season with 7 defeats and no goals scored, our 8th match was against the reigning PL champions, Chelsea. No-one (understandably) gave us a chance. Yiu know what happened as well as me (hilarious that our 1st goal that season was scored by Chelsea),

Not only are we currently in the mess we are but our last 16 league meetings against Chelsa since that momentous day has seen 13 defeats followed by 3 draws. Time for another miracle? Stranger things have happened.

I suspect that if we perform below standard with Mateta resembling an animal which brays and we are being beaten I suspect both Glasner and Mateta will face pelters from our supporters.The atmosphere could turn somewhat toxic.

Well that's made up my mind about going to the game 🤣 I was 50/50
 
3-0 Chelsea. I do not see us getting anything. If the Glasner presser tomorrow is a breath of fresh air then I will change my mind but I am not optimistic

The two of them want away and probably have given up trying as behaving like spoilt brats.
 
I'll reserve my prediction until after the presser tomorrow. If Glasner either doesn't show up or continues to complain then we might as well write Sunday off. If he shows up, apologises to the fans, and shows renewed energy and enthusiasm for the remainder of the season, then I think we might surprise a few people. He'll have had another week to work with the U21s and backup players and might even feel he can use them off the bench. A lot will depend on how professional he and also JP can be after a week of noise. Chelsea limped past Pafos, so they are not exactly firing on all cylinders under the new manager.

It is incredible that we have got to hope that the manager has a positive mindset before we go into this game and that certain players are being motivated by the manager enough to try and get some form of result.

I’m am f***ed off with this attitude, we are being taken for right mugs!

Thanks to Wolves, Burnley and Wespam we are probably already safe for this season.
Another few points from our remaining games will assure it. More likely we will end up comfortably mid table !

I think we have to wait and see though. It could be Glasner just let his guard down and showed a lack of professionalism for 48 hours. He can repair some of the damage if he responds positively after he's cooled off. Mateta is a bit different, as we haven't actually heard from him, he hasn't publicly asked to be transfer listed, and so far as we know has not gone on strike. He just needs to get his head down and start scoring again. If one or both fail to turn up with the right mindset this weekend then we as fans would have every right to let them know what we think, but let's at least give them a chance.
