It does seem a bizarre move. Canada does an incredible amount of trade with the US and whilst there is a lot of hot air about Trumps trade 'sanctions', my understanding is that this is just about creating a more even playing field.

Still nothing to do with us so let them crack on.

If they were hedging their bets, they are more likely to stay in Canada if this opens more tariff-free destinations. Everything could change tariff-wise in two years anyway. Moving plants to US will also cost them Canadian customers many of whom are viscerally anti-American currently

The trade between Europe and Canada has been building for a while now, even before Carney, so this will make things easier.
There are alot of infrastructure projects being carried out with new ones being planned. Updating of their Nucleaire power stations, roads and bridges, local transport projects and a national high speed rail network linking the major cities.
Had the chance to work on a project out there 6 years ago and loved the place.
The fact that Canada holds a fifth of the worlds freshwater is incredible in itself.

what kind of a dingbat banana Republic can have a major constitutional change without it being put to a vote. A referendum of all Canadian Citizens.

Otherwise its about as legit as Steve Parish replacing our logo with a gigantic Seagull crapping on our heads.

And the opinions of people already inside the EU ? maybe our leaders will accept the membership of North Korea ?

Being a data-driven, seasoned banker Carney knew Brexit was neurotic financial self-mutilation for the UK. But he didn;t decide to sabotage the transition or drag his heels. He got on with his remit and was thus greatly admired.

Lefties flocking together in solidarity knowing that their days are numbered. When Europe is at breaking point, the people will turn to anyone to save them from what the left have done to their countries. Then you will see radicalism.

His job did not include making partisan political statements. His leadership of Project Fear was a sackable offence but Cameron thought it helped his cause.
Greatly admired by some, reviled by economists and others.
His greatest contribution was plastic bank notes which was a good thing.

His management of interest rates directly increased house prices, the ultra low interest for years was a mistake.

Do you like anything about the UK (mighty Palace accepted)? Because the vast majority of your posts are running my country down and spreading deliberate misinformation. Including this total bunk about Carney being 'reviled'. He's a politician and rivals will attack him and sling as much mud as possible
