The Claret and Booze guy seems to think the decision to leave was Wilson's and that he's a decent player. That did make me think to be fair. Not that I trust his judgement but I presume the West Ham fanbase might quite like him. It's not that I listen to West Ham, but as they're the most knowledgeable fans in the world, they created the West Ham "Way", and they won a world cup without even being in it, perhaps we should pay some attention?

when fit he is still a decent player. Only last month he scored 2 against Bournemouth and generally had a very good game.
Most of his appearances the last few years have been as a sub so his stats look worse than they are.

The biggest issue is his fitness and we need someone who can hit the ground running.

Being nearly 34 and injury prone is the clue. I think we have learned our lesson on buying ageing has beens.
