I do possess brown shoes (They are tantastic !) and I suspect a pair or two will find their way into my suitcase for my ephemeral sojourn abroad this coming week.

But surely they're reserved for the more quotidian activities such as kicking recalcitrant servants rather than any sartorial statement. Brown in town? Surely not since that would evince a greater degree of caducity than is apparent from the Willo persona which would recoil in horror at the merest suggestion of such an unforgivable faux pas.
