Bring back Eze?

I can see Arse shifting Eze out to the left with the departure of Drossard and reportedly Martinelli so he should get plenty of game time if not in his preferred centre midfield .

But no , For footballing reasons its time for others to shine and for financial reasons he has moved beyond our pay structure .In short its not going to happen
Not now they've got Tzolis, he won't. As a back-up, yes.

I said last year, by the January Transfer window he will be on his way out of the Gooners. He is too good to sit on the bench and like Wilf before him needs to be the biggest fish in the pond and at a place that loves him. I'm not sure he comes straight back here but I still think he ends up back here at some point.

Arteta isn't keen on Wze. "His play is too ornamental."

Eze is capable of beating defenders but this skill seems to be unpopular with most PL coaches.
Grealish too, had it trained out of him at City.

Whatever, no chance he'll be back IMO.

I think you really need an Eze, Olise, quality defenders like Guehi, Maxence, in the PL.

Ideally two in your team to give you an edge, a special goal or defensive break, Munoz is such a player imo.

If you look back at the clips especially the cup year, you wonder where it could now come from.

And the quality players were bargain buys for their new owners, we spent considerably more on their replacements, are they as exceptional I don't think so.

We are where we are.........

😎

you could see him at Spurs, though their fans would have mixed feelings, or West ham when they're back in the prem

TBF, getting Zaha back turned out pretty well. Not sure how many we have done but Andy Gray and Steve Kember come to mind as successes

Wilf, Dougie, Clinton, Nat. All greats for the club across both spells. Definitely not an exhaustive list...

Another name they missed out from the article as well as those you mentioned, Andy Johnson. Though he did only make a solitary appearance on his return.

Would take him back in a shot, but what makes anybody think that he would want to come back?

He is an England international, his next move will be another high profile club, probably abroad somewhere.*

*in my opinion
I am with you. He will be enjoying his time back at his boyhood club having won a league title with 32 appearances in that title campaign, and having narrowly missed out on the UCL too.

Their fans might be slightly underwhelmed with his contribution, but he has been useful in those campaigns and will continue to be an asset for as long as Mikel sees him as one.

I wonder if eventually further down the road, we could see a reunion of Michael and Ebz, not back home, but rather in Bavaria...

I saw it.
Newcastle at home in the league Cup.
It was very underwhelming
..and we lost.

He just doesn't seem like what Arsenal need or prefer. He isn't that lazy but there's a lot about his style that looks lazy. I don't think he suits the running and pressing system Arsenal use. He's the classic luxury player really.

He's got a lazy style, that's for sure, but he's not lazy. Last Season he didn't fit arsenals style, and they weren't used to the positions he takes up. He's not a player who runs in behind or onto a ball in space ahead of him. He's always the guy hanging round the D and needing the pull back.. Arsenal rarely picked this option when crossing. Due to this, he was often bypassed and was not in the games enough.

Either he needs to work out where his teammates want him to be and get in the game more or his teammates need to know where he'll be to pass to. It's a big season for him.

I don't think he'll be first pick as no.10 if odergaard is fit but as the norwegian is injury prone then i'm sure with arsenal playing 38 lge games and going deep in 3 cup comps i'm sure he'll get plenty of games.

the thing for me is that, he may've won an epl prem lge winners medal but he has lost that swagger and joy.
At Ours he was the big fish. Now he’s just in the a big pond.

Yes he's been found out. Never consistent enough to hold done a starting place, just a squad player who Arteta can rotate whenever.
I’m not sure being part of a team that won the EPL and got to the final of the Champions Legaue while massively increasing your salary and becoming a cult hero for winning games against your bitterest rivals counts as being found out.

He was always going to be a squad option at Arsenal rather than a guaranteed starter but looking at it from Eze’s point of view it looks pretty peachy

Wilf enjoyed being the key player at Palace and appeared to enjoy the pressure that went with it.

Maybe Eze prefers not having to carry the weight of the team and the fans expectations.?
