brilliant then massively dated now

It was brilliant when Dad first bought our Pye, 6inch screen TV in it's beautiful polished mahogany case with two controls, one the on/off switch and the other one the volume control. Must have been around 1955, and all to watch the only one BBC TV channel.

It's probably not much cop now.

My mate’s (then young) daughter once met Saville. He didn’t molest her in any way and to this day she wonders what he didn’t see in her ! 😱

Remember The Goodies drawing an audience in excess of 10 million?
Ecky Thump, giant cat, 3 person tandem...
Try watching it now- absolute f***ing garbage!

Monty Python (the TV series),
Up Pompei,
On The Buses,
Love Thy Neighbour,
Benny Hill,
Black and White Minstrel Show ( my dad loved this for the singing not the face paint),
Doctor Who (wobbly scenery and every alien planet looking like a disused chalk pit (it was),
Platform shoes ( As a short arse I thought great I can look taller, you had 6ft guys wearing them. Still cool at the time).
Denim Jeans (My dad hated them, the day he started wearing them was when I gave them up).
Denim jeans are much better though
