I think Sage just got very lucky when at Lens to lead them to 2nd place. He has now exposed his lack of tactical knowledge. He has absolutely no idea what he is doing. I hear some of you blaming the recruitment or the players themselves. I don't, I blame the manager. He is in my opinion not far off De Boer standard. Sack him now!!!

You can be lucky in a game.

You cannot be lucky over a season.

That said, this may turn out to be the worst score in the 16 years history of CPFC 2010 Limited and it is fair to say Sage's job is in jeapardy.

He knows the league and was harshly treated by Newcastle.

I don't believe he would come to us.

He has turned us down before in the past and now he has a bigger name I can see him having a lot more options towards teams in top 10.

Not sure he would be willing to put up with what goes on at Palace after what he went through at Newcastle.

Probably the way as we managed to pay 45 million for JSL, although I agree that Nketiah is worse - League 1 level at the best.

There hasn't been a decent performance from one Palace player, which is unusual as even when we lose there's usually a couple of good perforners.
It's not just one bad day at the office, it's just the latest one in the league this season.
There needs to be a dose of realism about our form this season.
We can all see it as fans and I'm sure the hierarchy can see it too.

If not his fault then certainly his responsibility. On of the jobs of the manager is to motivate the team.

You have to wonder if dropping players and publicly calling them out (something hardly any good managers do) might be an issue? You also have to wonder if the players can see the tactics are all wrong but are having to follow them. Or maybe they are simply confused because the instructions are unclear.

It definitely has not helped Canvot .

My honest take is that Parish gives Sage until the Liverpool game on November 8th. That is the last game before the international break. We have Newcastle, Fulham and Spurs along with Beşiktaş and Hoffenheim. If we are out of the cup and not picking up points against a poor spurs and Newcastle side I think his race could be run.

I think it depends on whether Parish thinks Sage needs more time or just isn’t up to it. If it is the former then he will get some time until results force his hand. If the latter there is nothing to be gained by waiting around.

Ultimately none of us really know beyond what we see on the pitch. It is hard to see anything that is working or will work given more time. I expect Parish or the team around him will also be talking to senior players for a view. If their report is “it’s on us, we aren’t executing the plan well enough” Sage will be given time. If the reports are “this guy can’t coach at this level” he may well be gone next week.

From what I can gather Sage has come here and done what worked for him in France. Fair enough, that's what got him the Palace job in the first place. It hasn't worked, though.

I don't want to hear that the attack is working well if only we could fix the defence. This is the fourth league game from seven in which we have failed to score. It isn't just one part of Sage's approach that isn't working so far, it's all of it.

Thing is, does he have a different way that he can use? If what we see is how his teams played in France, and he's managed less than 100 games, he'll have to learn a new way himself before he can coach it. He doesn't have an established plan B in his personal locker.

I've said on here many times before that i judge a good manager by how he sorts out a leaky team or stops making same errors.

and i'm 'fraid to say that i don't think this manager is capable of doing that!!
It started in pre seasö against lens and it's just the same every game since (apart from at leeds).
