The thing is with all moaning aside. If professional footballers in the premier league are in capable of even stringing 3 passes together and insist on playing out from the back when they clearly do not have the skill to do it that is the real worry.
Brighton look like they have 2 extra players. We have nothing on the pitch at all.

This seems to have become a thing in recent years “system” managers. Perhaps they need to go back to remembering that the job is to find ways to win and draw. If that means changing formation, different tactics, changing players game by game then so be it. Managers like Sage (and many others) seem to think results are secondary to their “philosophy”. They aren’t

Really highlights the crux of the issue. It is both recruitment and tactics. We don’t have defensive quality, physicality or leadership to compare with Brighton… but even with the players we do have Wharton marking Dunk on corners is a crazy choice.

They just showed a set of stats on tv. We are 18th in the League for goals conceded, last for shots on target, last for XG against. Sage has shown no desire or ability to change it. That’s going to get him sacked sooner rather than later. You can’t play like that and not end up in serious trouble

Well 45 minutes of football there that could be seriously damaging for Sage’s job prospects. They took their foot off the gas after 15 mins and still looked like they could score every time they went forward. Just genuinely embarrassing and Sage just looks so out of his depth

We look a total and utter mess and Sage stands on the touchline like a rabbit caught in the headlights. Conceded 3 today, 3 in Lyon and could have gone 3 or 4 down to Nottm Forest in the first 40 mins. Very worrying times.

I expect Lerma to come on for one of the young central defenders and Sarr to come on too.
It may inject more pace and thrust from Sarr and nore physicality and aerial competitiveness from Lerma, but won't dramatically alter the outcome.
Sadly we look well short and even good players like Wharton abd Mitchell are struggling.
I think it will finish 4-1 .

Wharton has been shocking and nobody speaks about it but he is massively guilty.
Canvot is just a calamity Jane.
Don’t care how much we got for Munoz but this Khalili guy is pony.
