Brighton Predictions.

We missed the creativity of Wharton against Forest so with him back I am a little more optimistic.
Unfortunately I suspect the manager will persevere with Pino who needs to have a rest and learn how to make a pass and not overhit his crosses. At least the bench will have more variety.
Talking about Pino's crosses, I'm wondering why the hell Glasner's letting him take free kicks? So often we get one in a great position & he hits it far too hard & too straight, usually directly out of play.
Please Oli, get someone else, anyone, to take these & at least give us a chance of a knock-on or something in the box! Every time I see Pino stepping up to take one, I know what's going to happen. And I'm right nearly every time.

Right nearly every time sounds like my missus minus the nearly

I reckon this game is going to be hugely significant for our season, but not because of any long standing rivalry (which I agree has diminished over recent years) but in terms of momentum - that all important factor that Ollie has referenced so often and (perhaps more importantly) the direction the club could decide to go on Monday morning IF things don’t go our way.

We have spent big on 3 new attackers and all need to make a quick impact - JSL especially given his ridiculous price tag! They are all used to the Premier League, so should be able to adapt more quickly than players brought in from overseas. (e.g. Pino, Canvot.)

The new additions should help to give the dressing room a lift and sharpen everyone up.
In addition, we have Wharton, Kamada, Eddie, Clyne returning to the fold.
The players have had a full week to prepare and Ollie won’t have the “players are fatigued” excuse. The players are fresh especially Wharton and those returning from the sidelines.

Munoz and Chaddi should be more “finding their rhythm” as a result of the Forest game and I expect both to improve on their performances last Sunday.

Brighton are in a similar poor run, but they are a decent side and hard to beat, it won’t be easy. But this is the point of the season (in the position we’re in) where the performance is secondary - the points are all that matter.

Get it wrong on Sunday and I’m afraid Ollie will have no plausible excuse (although he may try the “we have to get the new players known to each other” route) and he will have to go.

Get the win and suddenly we’re looking upwards with two very winnable games on the horizon against Burnley and Wolves - not that either game would be easy, but a real chance of virtually securing our safety in the space of a couple of weeks.

like I said at the beginning of this ramble - this game is HUGE and we simply have to win by hook or by crook!

1-2 Palace. 🙏

Brighton have only lost 1-0 at home in the PL this season and that was against high-flying A.Villa.
I would not be surprised if we were truly 'Put to the sword' with cries of "Glasner out" from our suffering supporters.

I'm thinking another 1-1 draw. With the recent changes they won't be totally sure how to play us and that will work in our favour. Also we will be up for the game with more of the band back together + new blood. Delusional? Perhaps, but I can dream. UTP.

This game has probably come a week too early as far as bedding in the new signings so I expect us to be at our disjointed worst .
Brighton though are as crappy as us atm so a draw looks the most likely outcome .But I'm feeling positive and we will only need to be a little better to take the three points , 2-1 to Palace
