Brighton are not the enemy (nor are Millwall)

Favourite moment with Millwall is the FA Cup tie at their place a few years ago where they gave a load of stick to a certain Michael Olise who then proceeded to rip them a new one in the second half...

Reasons why Brighton are not our enemy:
1. The root of the argument with them is obscure, ancient, and fairly pointless
2. They are not local to us
3. They are a small club like us, punching way above their weight against all the odds
4. They are actually quite good (way above us in the league)
5. Brighton is a nice place (as is Hove)
6. The so-called rivalry gets quite nasty at times (huge police presence at games to prevent trouble) and there is enough hate in the world as it is
Our real enemies are the super-rich clubs who are just huge financial empires regularly stripping teams like Palace of all their good players (remember the big clubs who wanted to break away some years ago into a super European league so that they could protect themselves from ever getting relegated and make even more money out of supporters?) (I have to smile when looking at Spurs now in the league table).
And Millwall..... no-one likes them (but I bet they do care - perhaps they just need some love)

I can't be bothered with your insane argument which is obviously you just being a weed given that this is your first and only post here, but the point I highlighted you wrote after beating Chelsea, who lost 7 on the bounce bar Port Vale, and just sacked Rosenior. Before that game had we won our games in hand we'd have been ABOVE your financially pimped outfit, whilst proceeding to the semis of a European competition.

Ouch.

In Ireland apart from the Brighton and Millwall you really have to detest the United and Liverscum . I cant even go out for a pint this weekend 😕 They are so sickening to listen to . Never been to a match in their lives but experts ( in their tiny little minds ) on all things Premier league and everything else in the Universe . Bunch of Tankers ( sorry about my poor spelling )

I think it depends which generation you come from. If, like me, you started going in the early 1950's then Millwall are our main rivals, closely followed by Charlton; that's how it is for me anyway. There was certainly a lot of 'rivalry' at the Den in 1965, particularly after Peter Burridge nodded in a last minute winner. Also, the Valley in 1966 involved a mass brawl on the terrace behind the goal.

The Millwall rivalry goes way back to the time of the Nest which was closed after a Palace- Millwall game in the 1920's.
