The game was there for the taking, however. I think that's the disappointment but I'm only thinking of Europe so it's hard to blame the players. Just watching us out of some form of misplaced duty.

I think it was a standard sub and it's the eye socket. Maybe cracked or just a huge blood blister. I don't think it'll keep Lacroix out. Just my take on it.

On my way back. We were so good in the first half and should've been at least 2 up.
Both Kamada and Wharton were very good.
After Whartons goal we serenaded his Mum who was a good sport and waved ecstatically.
Sarr was quiet as was Mateta when he came on and we gradually lost control.
Brentford do not play good football but as we saw it can be effective. Thought that if Canvot jumped and cleared his header it wouldn't have hit their forward.
Hopefully no injuries.

In fairness to Brentford, they're a lot like us really. Shows where we could have been without Europe.
We need a slightly bigger squad with a bit of pace and power to come on. No more lightweights.
It's the obvious flaw in our signings.
It's getting increasingly obvious we need a defensive coach instilling the virtue of keeping calm and playing the ball out to a forward (but not Mateta who was useless today - along with Johnson). We just panic and go to pieces under pressure.
I'd like to know what Glasner moans at his assistants when we panic - not their fault, it is his.
Of course, if we took the chances we had in the first half there would be no pressure.
We can expect more of the same against Arsenal and just hope we play better in Leipzig.

Bit annoying because it was a game we should have won before half time. Canvoy just shows bits of inexperience, hope he learns not to wait for a cross to come to him, as he did for their first goal.. In general though a bit more luck, rub of the green, and it would have been three points.
