Could be that he covers Sarr’s position in his AFCON absence, alongside Yeremy, then after AFCON he switches sides and displaces Yeremy. From reading the comments section on BBC, he seems well regarded by Spurs fans. That’s an encouraging start.
We clearly need more firepower up top and I see him as more of a Pino replacement rather than Sarr. In either case, we need more depth in that position. Sarr has also played as a centre forward for us in the past to good effect, so we could even fit all three in if JP keeps misfiring.
He’s obviously a good player. Just comes down to whether he suits our style of play. My guess is that he will. Hope he signs in time for the Fulham game as we need him.
As others have said he can play any position along the front three and I do expect to see him play all of them depending on each game.
I wouldn’t even be opposed to or that much surprised to him slotting in as striker in the Newcastle game… especially with JP’s recent form.
Regardless of which role he plays most, he’s gonna be a great addition to our squad. Said a couple of times before he was one I wanted us to look at in the Summer, he will take to our system like a duck to water, and what his signing signals to Oli is so so important, getting this done on the second day of the window and him being a certain class of player which we now are able to attract.
Excited for this one. BJ-11 FTW!
