Born & Bred in South London..........supporting Arsenal

We don't expect you to like us but that doesn't stop us liking you. We obviously hate the Sperz and those financially-doped c**** in West London. But we have respect for you. It's like England - Scotland. The Jocks hate us because they want to be the best British team. But we want them to win against anyone but us.

You punch above your weight and your club has always treated us with decency and respect. I know you hate us because you want to be the best team in London. But look what Wrig.hty did for us. And what Easy's achieved so far in his first season. He won you the cup last year and the Charity Shield and scored a hat-trick in his first NLD, two in the second, has won us the title for the first time in 22 years and we also have a Euro final.

You may not like it but we're genuinely chuffed for you lot.
No one I know would want the Scots to win so not sure that example works.

Also, using Ian Wright as an example of an Arsenal-Palace connection won't go down well in these parts with the older generation.

Arsenal and Palace have never had a rivalry. We're not big enough for Arsenal to care about us and we are more akin to disliking West Ham or Watford or even QPR.

Grew up in Surrey/Croydon with loads of local Arsenal fans. Fans of Arsenal for no reason other than Palace weren't fashionable enough to support so they looked slightly further afield for a team to support.

Arsenal mean nothing to us (good or bad), other than us seeing their fans as being quite obnoxious.

I'm Palace cause my dad grew up Croyden in the fourties and fifties. I grew up North Lonodn and live a short walk from the Emirates. I should be Arsenal in a way. I wear my Palace top around here - hardly any of us. My friend gets me the off ticket at Emirates but after I go I feel I have to get to Selhurst to wash the feeling off.

Considering in my palace supporting life Arsenal have stolen our two best players from us, sansom and Wright(sorry I can’t include Eze) I should hate Arsenal more, but you’re right there’s no rivalry, we’re just a minor irritant to them once every blue moon. Out of all the top London sides, I dislike them the least

Of the top five I prefer them and Liverpool, if forced, since the stench of sugar daddy money doesn't linger on them. Arsenal have always been winning things. Chels and Citeh? What had they actually won before the daddies arrived? Virtually knob-all. They've bought what success they've had. Ugh!

I must confess to a slight soft spot for them.
My dads family lived a stones throw for Highbury at one time & one of my early football heroes was Charlie George (amongst others such as 'Yogi' Hughes for Palace)
The final day win at Anfield to nick the title from under the scousers noses was pretty funny also.
