Crunch match coming up. I think we all want to see a more disciplined performance with some semblance of structure. I think that playing a settled team is important and we should prioritise the Europa league which we could conceivably win and survival in the Premier league. I don’t really care too much about the League cup and we can give all the first team regulars a rest for that game. Wharton, in particular, looks a bit lack lustre.

My team would be

Henderson (our best gk and our captain )
Khalaili ( despite his detractors, I think he will come good )
Mitchell

CB, choose from Tomiyasu, Richards, Disasi, Mingueza, Honest and Chilwell, depending on who is fit If all were fit, I would play Richards, Disasi and Tomiyasu. Canvot needs a rest and reset.

Mateta ( way better than JSL as soon as he came on despite another open goal missed )
Sarr (Pinot is too lightweight. He and McNeil are options off the bench)

On Monday they lost 2-0 away to Trabzonspor who currently sit 4th in the table.
Besiktas have won all of their 4 Home games.

I suspect the vast majority of our fan base are expecting the worst.
I am of the opinion that a share of the spoils would be a creditable result, however I am far from confident that this will be achieved.
I expect a narrow Besiktas victory with some positives to be taken from our performance !

Fantasy land. Absolutely no way this Palace side will get anywhere close. Best get out of this competition asap and pool all resources into Premiership survival.

I suppose it partly depends upon if Sarr starts.
Personally I would like to see the inclusion of both Sarr and Mateta.
