At 66 years old I have seen many good and bad times at our fabulous club, Nearly going out of Business, Marc Goldberg, Simon Jordon, Bert Head etc, and I am sitting here now wondering why some fans are being so negative and calling for SP to go, Over the last 2 or so years under OG we are reaching dizzy heights, Cup final winners, In Europe and Community Shield, some amazing Players and a new stand on the way, Hopefully
I met SP very briefly at an away game about 4 years ago, I turned to him and said Steve lets keep our dream going, he smiled and replied I will do everything I can to keep the club on a sound Financial basis and try to bring success for the fans, not him but the fans, he has achieved this and I cant think of a better time to be a Palace fan, I hope I will still be here to see the new Stand and improvements,
The Holmesdale lads are truly amazing, I live up north now and go to the way games, City, Utd, Burnley, Everton and Liverpool, I sit with them as an old Boy, they are a credit to my Club, at City last year as I have only 1 leg that works, 1 of them asked if I wanted a drink, I gave him me card and 5 mins later brought it back to me seat, not only that he gave me my card back and had treated me to a hot drink.
There is not another club in the world with the amazing support we have, I met up with Lazo lad in lanzarote, we got beat badly by Arsenal,think it was 5 nil, We held our heads up high, by Christ We took some stick !!
Remember we are PALACE fans and the best in the world
