Augsburg v CPFC Match Thread

Can i be the first person of the 25/26 season to say....... FFS DAICHI!!!!!!
Not sure if I was watching the same game as you but give it a rest. Daichi made some excellent touches and there was some nice moves. A bit sluggish at times but generally we looked fine for early doors

It's alright. We only have Liverpool at Wembley next week.

I'm a 46 year old man and I still play football twice a week and very rarely get injured.. It amazes me how these young, professional players seem to get injured so easily. This is in reference to Nketiah who had just gone off with an 'injury'. I'm happy to go on and replace him and take his 100k for this week!

I was being fairly tongue-in-cheek…. Just a few moments first half where the weight and choice of pass was so frustrating. But he was much better second half and I hope he continues to progress in this side.

He's one of the cup winning Palace legends🏆💪🏻Will be good next season

Was a few badly weighted passes all round but by next week they should be all sharper

We could really do with some goals from our midfielders this year. I know they are primarily defensive, but did Wharton, Kamada, Hughes, Devenney and Lerma get a single league goal between them last season?

Devenney got one for sure - but without checking I think that might have been it

Check Complete - the statistic stands

I understand the point, but think we're more likely get goals from our central defenders from set pieces, or from Munoz who gets into more attacking positions than our midfielders.
If our midfielders can chip in that would be a real bonus.

I know it was probably playing further up the pitch, but Kamada has scored 59 first team goals - that is more than Nketiah - but just 2 in the League Cup for us. Wharton scored a few for Blackburn and you would have thought he would have the skill to pass them into the corner

Finished one nil to them
A couple of good chances to equalise from Jemide and Benamar
But nothing else to report other than the Nketiah injury and rogue sprinkler system
