Bit late on this, Two Teams for Two Games . . .

I guess interesting to see Guehi in what is clearly the first choice XI, as that wasn’t the case in the last game. So if he is leaving it isn’t entirely immediate.
 
This makes it easier for me. I should be working, but now I only need to watch the first game, unlike against Mainz where he split the first team. Interesting that Esse isn't starting the second game. He looked quite lively the other day. We may need a coroner on standby for the second game, so that they can let us know if Eduoard is dead or just not moving.

Feels odd to start the kids over Ahamada, Esse and Rak-Sakyi.

Does that mean that he knows what he's doing with those 3, and wants to see some kids? Or that he wasn't impressed with those 3 and so wants to see the kids?

We knew it anyway, but the first team picks itself now.

I agree.
I can't see the purpose of starting Edouard unless there are scouts there to run the rule over him.
He has no future at Palace, whereas hopefully Esse does.
Glasner must have his reasons though.

Let's see how Edouard compares with Nketiah first. We may keep him on for some of the Conference League games if that is where we end up
Esse is a strange one. He looked quite good in the last friendly and scored. Maybe a slight injury or they are looking to loan him out. The latter seems unlikely with Franca injured, Rak-Sayki on the market and the lack of action on incomings

Anyone know if this is Augsburg's likely first X?. I think the Bunesliga starts a week after the PL so they may still be experimenting

As you long as you also point out all the other FFS moments everyone else is doing

Generally the patterns of play are looking pretty good but poor touches and weight of pass are frustrating

Perhaps Edouard has said he'll try and train hard (and has done so so far in pre-season) and so Glasner is challenging him, to show what he can do. what he can do.
