Thrashed by 8 wickets inside TWO days and with Australia missing two of their main strike bowlers and Captain!
Just let that sink in 🥴
The post-mortems are more enjoyable than the victories.

If hazlewood is a strike bowler i'm a banana. He is a very good dobber, think Brian Statham, his job is to seal up an end and let the STRIKE bowler take the wickets al a Fred.
If A! says so it must be bo -lucks.Seems that you’re a 🍌

That’s the worst part, Steve Smith has always got that smug look on his face that can only be changed with a firmly placed brick straight in the kisserAnd how much more miffery must there be for those who've paid to go to Australia for it? Not only a shocking batting display but they've now got to face gloating Aussies as well.

England lead by 99 with one wicket down at lunchtime. Beaten by end of play. That's actually quite hard to do.

England were really two different units the batsmen should wear the "D2 cap and the bowlers impressed especially Carse and StokesThere was talk of England's preparation being inadequate. Looks like that could have played a part. They did not look ready to compete in a Test Series.

I agree mostly, but bowling wasn't doing much in the Aussie's second innings. They could have reached four hundred if they had needed to.England were really two different units the batsmen should wear the "D2 cap and the bowlers impressed especially Carse and Stokes
One player (head) went for it and it paid off. Carse stuck to the task though.I agree mostly, but bowling wasn't doing much in the Aussie's second innings. They could have reached four hundred if they had needed to.

They must have been surprised when we won the toss and decided to bat firstAgreed. Head & Labushagne were very comfortable, as was Smith when he came in. 400 was perfectly attainable the way they were set.
I watched a number of former Australian players talk about the Optus pitch before play started on Day 2. All bar none said it would be the best for batting during the afternoon of Day 2…and so it seemed.
Our batsmen needed to bat in Test mode for our second innings and give Pope, Root &/or Brook the chance to make a big Hundred.
