Arsenal V Palace match thread

No one injured or sent off and we got a cheeky point.

Two teams taking it easy. Next stop Wembley.
 
A satisfying and frankly unexpected point with the added bonus of JPM scoring an absolute blinder. Imagine if Odegaard ("The Norwegian Deodorant") had scored that. Alan Smith would've been arrested for public indecency.
 
Well done, Glasner, for balancing the load well. Our attackers and midfielders won't be worn out for Saturday, and almost the entire team feel that they contributed to the hard-earned draw.
 
A few of my takes on the match:

1) Best performance for Kamada in a Palace shirt although I’d like to see him have more impact on the game.

2) Nketiah tries hard but is currently not in the same league as Mateta.

3) need to work on our set piece defending.

4) Mitchell looks absolute quality until he tries to pick out a slide rule pass or cross.

5) Eze’s goal was sublime but Sarr also looked dangerous on the left.

6) Somehow during the course of that match (and I think it had to do with the introduction of Hughes, Sarr and Mateta), we went from looking very average back to our pre Southampton form. That last 20 minutes could have changed our entire camp’s mood going into Saturday.

Mateta is like gold dust and the so called bigger teams will start to worm to try to get him on the cheap. Watch offers and narratives come in at £40-£45m. Tell them all to do one Parish.

A. We need to keep him and
B. He’s a £70m player in this market particularly with the lack of strikers out there.
 
Good result. Arsenal having one eye on their next match, and to be fair so did we. Mateta MOTM lol for less than 20 minutes, but what a goal, great finish. Once him and Sarr joined the game Arsenal looked nervous. I can see some big money coming in for Mateta in the summer, there aren't many good strikers around, they are at a premium. Make the most of him whilst we have him.
 
Who was it that said we'll get no more points in our last 5 games . Best game so far for Kamada , his fast closing down had a hand in the Mateta goal . I have also come to the conclusion Mateta is absolutely bat s*** crazy 🤪, give that man a pay rise. MOTM . Who are ya .
 
On the balance of chances we probably should have won it.

However if I was an Arse fan (god what an awful existence) I’d be ticked off about the disallowed goal. Had shades of Lerma's header against Everton.

All in all respect the point and much more looking forward to Saturday now!
 
Kamada has started to look like he 'gets' the premier league at exactly the right time. If you are picking the form players and Kamada is as big a favourite with Glasner as claimed by many here, then he is worth a start on Saturday.

Not sure how he came across on TV, but I was pitch side and thought he had one of his best games. Wharton on the other hand….was poor.
