You mean we are the only European democracy that does not have a written constitution that officially separates church and state?Time to disestablish the Church of England.
We are the only European democracy that doesn't separate church and state so puts us on the same level as Iran and Saudi Arabia.
If faith leaders want to involve themselves in politics let them stand for election.
The head of state is also the head of the "official" church; there are clerics of various faiths in the Lords who, thus, exercise (largely cosmetic) executive power; and the executive often consult and have to listen to the input of the religious, albeit as one of many voices to inform policy.
That is a long way from a theocracy or anything like it. We have effective separation in all but name.
