Trump wants to chase after some bright red hair. And its not Foxhunting.

Meanwhile other politicians laud the achievements of AntiFascists. I'm not sure if it will be also a plaque for the shooter of Charlie Kirk ? We may similarly need to wait 80 years for the emotions to calm down and the deed to look 'historical' ? Perhaps uniquely, the anti-fascist lady below had some significant mental health problems.

Surely to designate anything as something it first has to exist?

Antifa doesn’t. It’s a loose group of the like minded with no central controlling organisation.

So this looks like a typical attention seeking action by Trump to attack those who oppose him. Whether he now instructs the FBI to go after individuals who express support for anti fascist or anti racist objectives remains to be seen but the idea that they are a threat to the USA is laughable. Trump is a much bigger threat with his slide into authoritarianism.

You are reacting in a way that maybe they do exist.

That opposition to the drift towards authoritarianism in government, and the perception that this could lead to fascism, certainly exists in a significant number of people. Some of whom use Antifa as a label. What doesn’t exist is any kind of central organising structure. It’s a group of ideas rather than an organisation.

That Trump thinks he can ban ideas indicates those people might just be right.

Wasn’t Brexit an idea that gained traction and happened. PA was an idea and now look. If, and it’s BS antifa is just an idea it is a bad one and needs to be prevented from gaining traction.

Brexit was an idea that actual organisations supported. They weren’t banned for doing so!

You cannot ban ideas. Trump is setting himself up to take more direct action against individuals who oppose him.

It’s authoritarianism.

Adopting the simple binary approach of many on here who state - with dogmatic certainty - that if you are not 100% behind something you are 100% against it.

E.g., any criticism of Israel can only mean you are a Jew hater.

Thus, if you are against anti-fascism, does that mean you are pro fascism?

For the record, Antifa are a dissolute, shambolic, disparate jamboree bag of widely differing groups bandied together for political convenience as ubiquitous scapegoats for various wrongs that they may or may not be responsible for.

And yet some people manage to defend these group at every opportunity. You included.

These far left groups generally follow the government narratives from around the world; such as mass unchecked immigration and man made climate change nonsense.

You would have thought it would be the far right who have more things to be upset with.

Smashing up towns and innocent people is now the domain of the far left. Does the far right even exist in any noticeable number?

I live in hope of the day that Antifa are hunted down and dealt with like the vermin they are. Along with anybody who supported and funded them.

Then you will live out your life in hope. Antifa doesn’t exist, as any kind of organisation. It’s a loose term for those who oppose the far right, racism, fascism, white supremacy and homophobia. They aren’t “vermin” at all. They are political activists who believe in confronting their opponents. Describing them in such terms will only confirm their opinions and make them more determined.

No at all surprised that you support crypto-terrorists.

Are the Jews included in this?

And if they are busy hunting down the gay bashers, then why are they marching with islam?

Two traditional Brits
Adam Bedoui and Abdelkader Amir Bousloub

In the past, that's mostly been true for anti establishment groups whether it's from the left or right. I agree it is mostly definitely a rag bag of individuals whose only real thread is being very anti right or left wing who come together for that purpose.

However Antifa are far less anti social liberals than they are the right, who they see as fascists......Yeah, with the worst of them liberals get the bullet too, but they come last on the executions.

However the difference within the modern context is that....the liberal establishment has started to use these groups via plausible deniability contacts....anyone who doesn't understand that is either a liar or a moron.

Antifa and BLM were the Democrats foot soldiers during Trump's first presidency and in Britain HNH, run by pseudo communists, are literally a charity funded by the state...literally on their payroll, who have been allowed to break the law without consequence.

No objectivity, pure friend/enemy two tier distinction.

The link you provided earlier on Antifa literally recognises that it exists as a movement. Whoever said it required central controlling infrastructure to exist?

Are you going to tell us that al-Qaeda didn't or doesn't exist next? And many other groups that have the de-centralised, hard to track model for defence purposes. This model isn't new....some of the waffle you come out with insults people's intelligence.

When people all decide to turn up in a black mass, to say that this has no organising behind it and hence can't be given a name is dishonest.

People can literally see it when it happens. It's been officially designated as a domestic terrorist organization.
