There was the problem for me, you could count ‘his day’ on the fingers of one hand a season, a memorable goal or cross every now and then, but below average the rest of the time

This is my favourite Palace goal of all time. Not necessarily for context, although I believe the result confirmed our survival and it came off the back of West Brom absolutely pummelling our defence. But to watch, it's my favourite. I always prefer build up to a peach of a long shot (see Hopkin, Ambrose and also Townsend vs City) so this goal just does it for me!
