Just trying to assess Glasners options for starting XI for Arsenal to save best XI for the villa game Turner Clyne Ward Franca Esse Nketiah Devenny Childwell should all be considered but in what formation ?

After the Bournemouth and Wolves games, which we should win both, very difficult to see where our next win will come from, looking at remaining fixtures.

Are you sure? Wolves are on a winning streak and Bournemouth will not be our priority.

We are 5 points off of eighth place with four other teams in the running.
We also have to play Arsenal away, Forest, Liverpool away and Spurs away. Other than pride, it is quite obvious that the Cup should be our focus.
If we make the Cup Final we can write off all but Wolves and Liverpool.
If we lose to Villa then an optimist might think we could beat Forest at home, especially if they are in the Cup Final, Spurs away, Liverpool if they are on the beach and Wolves at home. That would give us another 12 points plus what we might get tomorrow. That's a total of 55 to 58 points.

The last two seasons, eighth place has finished on 60 points. 52 the previous one.

I'd like to him to drop Eze and Saar for Franca and Esse, Chilwell for Mitchell, Lerma and Hughes in the middle with Wharton on the bench, and give Nketiah at least half an hour, and a cameo from Devenny. Shake them up, freshen them up and get them fighting for places at Wembley. Won't happen though I fear.

Total nerdy stat: If both L'pool & the Arse win over the w/e, then if Palace beat the Arse on Weds(I know) L'pool win the league. Facing a jittery Arsenal, 'could' play into our favour. OK, I'll go now 😁
I love the eternal optimism of football fans.

If it's no more than 5-0 I will see that as a moral victory.

You would have to be bonkers to break a sweat three days before a semi final and frankly it doesn't really matter if they beat us 10-0.

I'd like to see Ollie save his preferred team for the semi and field a B team against Arsenal. Well, maybe start Mateta for the first quarter so he can score a couple before being subbed.

The semi has to be our main focus now.
