Adam Wharton

One of the key attributes of a manager is to bring the best out of the players at your disposal. I am struggling to think of one player who has improved under Sage. And Wharton and Sage look like shadows of their former selves. I think the stroking the chin impassively on the touchline is not what Alex Ferguson would be doing.

I think Pino has improved, unless of course all the others have gone so backwards that he looks better now?

I think Pino is getting more used to the Prem and is certainly showing more. I like that he is being more aggressive and doesn’t shy away from the ball. Yes he does still get knocked off the ball, but he has improved. I do not believe this is down to Sage however.
I would go as far and say that he has been our best player so far this season. That said he hasn’t had a lot of competition

Agree with this.
I also like Pino's competitive attitude and desire to win, even if the odds are stacked against him with his small frame.

On Wharton, I'm sure his form will return.
Even when he's playing well about 20% - 30% of his passes go awry.
It comes with the territory of trying ambitious passes.
At the moment that number seems a lot higher, but he has the quality to return to the norm.
However. the team might need to recover some form first.
I'm not sure Wharton will be the catalyst and I don't see him as a leader.
