Adam Wharton

I absolutely would take £100m for Wharton.
Anderson was being touted at around £120m and is a far better player.

Wharton needs to be playing in a better team without the defensive responsibilities to truly shine.

Anderson is NOT a better player. Anderson is Rice, neither have the vision, awareness and incisiveness of Wharton, and that is a gift you can't just learn.

The stats back it up.

I love Wharton, think he's incredible and absolutely fundamental to how we play. Can also see him thriving under Sage.

Really don't want him to leave but, if he did, it would have to be for an obscene amount 100m+ and all reinvested into the squad. That's the only way it would be palatable.
Selling our best players like Wharton will show a lack of ambition to progress. Investing in the squad is always risky, reference Nketiah, Johnson and JLS who have cost approx £120m and not improved the team.
We had to sell Eze and Olise ( release clause ) and Guehi ( refused new contract ), but we dont have to sell Wharton.

do you not remember that killer pass that anderson played at selhurst for forest's goal?

Spot on. Why do our fans start shitting themselves at every bit of click bait ‘journalism’? Time to get a life. And yes I have been on licensed premises today 😬

Glasner had just encouraged him to push into a more offensive role, hence Adam's first goal for the club and then, that legendary shot of which JP knocked in the rebound for the finest moment in Palace history.

He has got a golden opportunity (hopefully) under Sage to develop as a fine playmaker this season and we will see about how coveted he is and the bids that are pitched, this time next year. Definitely in the best place to develop his game; domestically and in Europe over the next year.

With Wharton, the ball is in our court, unlike Olise, Eze and Guehi.
See what serious bids we get. If it gets to £115m then he would have to go.
But SP needs to remember Dougie has gone and so far our new bloke is not hitting the right targets, and that is being very polite.
In the meantime, Wharton is getting very well rested and hopefully will be 100% fit for the new season.

Spurs want him according to click bait. So expect a derisory bid on deadline day.

Why would he want to go to a club lower than Palace. Liverpool I get and we should all be worried a big club and if they are serious they will pony up the money.

Spurs, he can go there when he's thinking of retiring and wants one final pay day.

Spurs seeding the papers/media with stories to unsettle the player and club. They really are low-life

Bale and Kane moved to better their careers. At least if Wharton stayed he'd be with a better-achieving club. Mind you, apparently Spurs pay well, even if you sit on the bench. Just ask John Bostock's dad.

I don't see Wharton leaving this summer unless the club receive an unbelievable offer which it feels that it can't turn down.

The caveat would be that he's properly advised without his representatives suggesting to him that he has missed out for England through not being with a Champions League club.

Well it didn't stop Anderson being selected and, furthermore, Wharton's reaction to being left out was phlegmatic.
He said he was looking forward to his holidays and that being young he had plenty of time to get chances in the future.

Kane are you sure he went to Germany in his 30s

Can’t see it happening this season, Adam’s stock will increase with us and he has a brilliant career ahead of him. As for transfers, the market has completely over heated and really average players are going for silly money!

If there is one thing that this golden era has secured, it is surely that our players will not be taken by mediocre club like spurs. He’s going to the absolute top of the game and he only leaves for one of the massive global sides surely…. Ie Madrid, Barca, PSG….

Integrity in football has disappeared, for clubs, agents, and players alike.

Click bait stories are just a medium for creating uncertainty in the market and facilitating deals.

Despite all the noise Marc, Ebs and Olise eventually went to top tier sides playing at the highest possible football level.

Due to age disparities our top players will go in different directions depending on their professional or financial needs.

Adam will eventually and unfortunately follow on their footsteps. At least dumpster fire clubs such as Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham have been exposed with only money and financial security the carrot they offer.

I see Adam making a similar choice as the trio above.
