I thought this related to using the remains of euthanised pets which are usually cremated. Horses which die often end up in pet food, as do farm animals. Better fed to zoo animals?

It’s not a subject we like to think about but predators kill. They aren’t scavengers, so won’t eat kibble or canned vegetable based feed. Zoos often breed animals to feed to predators.
