Although i am not advocating his immediate dismissal from the managers job, i still am not sure he is the correct manager for us, his infatuation with a system that doesn't bring out the attacking instincts from the lack of attacking players, shackled by the rigidness of our system, we must be the easiest team to play against, you know exactly how we are going to play, i am still not confident we will survive relegation this season, which i should be with the players we have, compared to Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton, i think if you picked a combined 11 from the 5 teams we would have more players in it than the other teams, but Glasner certainly wouldn't be the manager, Tin hat ready 😊

Where OG deserves a lot of credit is making us a difficult to beat, well organised unit who can pick off teams on our day and be deadly in the break. You can see that in our recent results.

What is a touch disappointing is that the football is still pretty hard to watch. OG hasn’t been able to make us a more fluid unit. Apart from the final 7 games last season it’s still a case of be compact and grab a goal on the break type football.

In fairness to OG that is probably due to not having the players. We have one creative player in Eze, a good striker, Sarr who is great or invisible depending on the day and that’s it really from an attacking standpoint.

Sorry Lanzo, but I think Ollie is just the right manager for us. Recent results have shown that he can lead the team to win matches that we probably didn't think we could.

The players have a role in this football malarkey too, and yesterday we were let down by a clumsy mistake by Guehi leading to the penalty retake and their first goal. The match was dire to watch, but then the weather was atrocious and that didn't help at all.

You've made your feelings about our manager well known on here, but who would be a suitable replacement? None of the usual suspects that get mentioned such as Dyche, Potter or Parker are worth consideration and don't even think about Postecoglou if he gets the sack.

No, we're fine where we are thanks.

disrespectful comments, does you no favours, it is just an opinion, not facts
Well you would know all about disrespectful comments, just try reading some of your own posts !

And I know it’s your opinion, today anyway, could well be different tomorrow. As for facts, I wouldn’t go down that route if I were you 🤣

Jeeze it's the first game we have played terrible and lost in weeks! We can't win them all.

We are a typical mid table team we win some and we loose some.

Our players wouldn't be playing for a team like us if they were consistent and turned up every game!

Indeed.

Statistically it would have been highly unlikely to win 4 in a row!

No reason to consider OG bye-bye after one game, but truthfully - we were absolute crap against a Brentford team we ought to be at least even. Except for a lame try from Eze (1st minute) and a well-struck shot from Mateta a few minutes later, we offered close to nothing the first half. Was hoping with 0-0 at the break, we would come out fighting 2nd half. But same misery. Still no idea what happened. Even the easiest pass went astray, no fight, no pressing, losing the ball constantly - if this continue we will stay on 27 points for a long time. Thus, relegation battle is not far away. Waiting for Wharton, hope Esse get long spells, Eze shows some of his magic and that the duo Nketiah/Kamada stays on the bench. The former Arsenal striker remains me more and more of a certain Aki A....

You can get 66/1 on us to go down - if you really believe we're at risk, that's an easy way to soften the blow.

While stranger things have happened I can’t see us going down. We have enough to pick up a few more wins and draws as we are difficult to beat. In truth we may already have enough points. Last season 27 points was enough to stay up and I think somewhere around that mark or 30 might be enough again this season.

Our abysmal start means we will probably get to around 40 points but I’d be surprised if we get many more than that. No Olise to come back and make the difference this year!

You have to remember that we're playing with a championship left back and Eze who has been utterly dire all season even before the injury. Thats leaving us with only one decent side of the pitch. Drop Eze for a bit and find out why he looks like he can't be bothered and finally get in a good left back and Im convinced we'll look ten times better.

Hope so

Mitchell is better than that. He is not a natural attacker but is a solid EPL level left back. What he isn’t is a natural wing back. Having said that I don’t think the right side is exactly problem free. Munoz has fantastic energy but the end product is often missing and Sarr has games where he’s anonymous. Yesterday all our decent attacking moments (and they are rare) came down the left side.

As for Eze, yes him being out of form is a problem. However, the bigger problem is even with that he has more assists than anyone else in the team this season. What does that say about the attacking and creative options in the rest of the squad? We are over reliant on Eze and while he’s been mighty frustrating, dropping him would make us worse
