Distant fan bases

Me and another man in Derry that I know of. Met a couple over here over the years but we are few and far between.

Supporter clubs in NYC, Seattle, etc.!

When I went to the preseason game in Tampa last season, very good turnout for the Eagles.

I heard about that too. I seen someone wearing a top in Kilkenny a few years back.
Heard they meet in the Front Lounge, Dublin but that was a few years ago. Bumped into two Palace fans where I live but they weren't really as long term as myself. Had one guy run out of a shop to speak to me because he couldn't believe I was walking around in a Palace hat. His question was "are you an actual Palace fan?". Turns out his Mother is from Croydon (Croydon Irish) but lives here now.
What's more worrying is I've genuinely seen two Brighton shirts. Degenerates.

I’ve lived in the north for 20 years in a rural area working most Saturdays and have found it difficult to interact with fellow supporters in Ireland. Years ago I met a guy from Ballymena and another from East Belfast or was it Ards? and the travelling involved was difficult if not impossible for me on match day.

I also attempted meeting in Dublin with a couple of guys in Cathal Brugha Street in a sports bar but when I got there they had left because the pub wasn’t showing Palace and I went on a tour of local pubs.

I did meet some guys in the Woolshed a couple of times with my cousin (a Palace supporter from South Dublin) which again is a good sports bar but it was my work pattern that kept me from attending more often and it’s my free Saturday that allows me to attend a match.

There are a bunch of Palace fans that hang out for a beer and breakfast in Toronto on a Saturday morning to watch the games.... we're lucky we get to see all the games on TV live over here. No need to watch the last 30 seconds of MOTD 😛

I was drinking out of this when I read your posts :ireland:😀 -> I am not a member though, I got it as a present. I am down in Kilkenny quite a lot, so it could have been me.

I was in our local spar shop in Conwy n wales last year and only a lady and guy on till in there I gave him my customary wales chant greeting as we have both been palace fans from the Bert head days of the sixties Lady who was on holiday from Croydon with her husband (both palace fans ) was dumbfounded and sure her husband would never believe her

all the gooey warmth about Dublin & Palace. Be under no allusions. We also have a few neanderthals wearing Millwall shirts and i even saw a Charlton shirt once.

There’s a Crystal Palace Singapore supporters group with 50 members that’s been going strong for 10+ years. We gather to watch games on TV in SG (often very late and somewhat sozzled) and attend matches when in England. There’s a busy WhatsApp chat group full of red & blue flavoured discussions and ribald humour. If any Palace brethren happen to be passing through SG and want to meet up then there’s a warm welcome to be found.

[I’ve been supporting Palace for 50 years and following HOL for years as a voyeur (reading almost every thread daily) and this is my first post. COYP ❤️💙❤️💙❤️]
