Pundits and Palace

Because of work I tend to watch most games on a feed these days.
I also watch most other prem games.

What is it about Palace that no pundits ever give us any credit? Yesterday I had to find another feed because I can’t listen to Glen Murray go on about us. Must have a bug up his arse because we let him go once upon a time.

If it’s not Murray, we tend to get Tony Gail a lot on the international feeds and spouts bollocks too.

Then there is Merson and that div Sutton.

Then today I can’t enjoy the offerings on sky because not only do they have Merson talking absolute nonsense they have jamie redcack… how are these 2 getting work. Is there a more bland pundit than Redcack? Could be worse I suppose, could have that cabbage patch doll Izzy in the studio offering nothing.

Anyway… sorry for the ramblings
 
Just for a treat… not only did sky Merson and redcack… they had Sutton on co comms. I ended up watching it on an Arabic feed… I swear amongst all the throaty growls and fast waffle, I swear I heard ‘Palace very lucky and city had an off day’ 🤣
 
I think over the course of the last 30/40 years little old Crystal Palace from grotty South Norwood have bloodied the nose of all of the top sides at some stage and it probably still rankles with a lot of these pundits who might have been on the receiving end in their playing days and they’ve never forgot

With respect to anyone who lives in South Norwood of course because I’ve lived there myself 😀

I stopped listening to pundits a long time ago.

Sky are just a man u / Liverpool w***k fest. Even when they arnt playing they somehow spend all the time talking about them.

I prefer to listen to palace radio these days and catch highlights later when I'm not at the games.

Blimey is that still a thing? We used to listen to that while we were still in range in traffic after the games back in the 90’s and 2000’s

It is. I also like it as it doesn't lower the crowd noise like the tv does. So when I don't make a game listening to the palace crowd on my headphones as I go about my day makes me feel a bit closer to the action.

Does you tv not have 'sports' mode? Best thing ever! Fades the commentators and increases the crowd noise. Not quite a matchday experience, but the next best thing.
 
I watched the Palace - City game on Sky at my Liverpool mate's hovel & after the game ALL they talked about was City & their 'troubles'. We didn't get a single mention - also they interviewed Pep & not Glasner just to top things off. At one point I wanted to kick the TV in.

I don’t even bother with MOTD now, Sky do 2/3 min highlights of every game straight after they finish, that does me, no waffle.
It’s such a tired boring old format now and I’m sure it’s thrown together by work experience people

I rarely watch it. Last time I saw it was after the Liverpool game. I just wanted to watch the Man City meltdown.
 
I do watch Motd - but never expect any insight into how Palace play. Always focusing on the opposition. I get we're not a fashionable club, but we still have support - and good support at that.

I console myself with the idea that the constant non-critiquing of our performances simply plays into our hands, and our preferred idea that we are the underdog.
