so similar in their style of play can we play both ? hope we can find a way
I don't see the similarity, but of course its opinions that helps make the game interesting. To me Devenny is a bit more Lerma. Wharton is more cultured and has a languid style.so similar in their style of play can we play both ? hope we can find a way
They certainly need somebody based on what I saw yesterdayIf the gossip is true and Man City want Wharton this won't be an issue.
Man City seriously considering January approach for shining Crystal Palace star
Man City are big admirers of a Crystal Palace player and are readying an approach for him in January, TEAMtalk can reveal.www.teamtalk.com
True but their problems are rather more easily solved than ours. They certainly need somebody based on what I saw yesterday
In that they have scouts, put bids in for players they need and sign them for the positions they requireTrue but their problems are rather more easily solved than ours.
Having limitless transfer and wage funds does help as well. I am sure if we had £50m to spend on a left wing back who we could pay £200k a week it may have been a tad easier to address that position. In that they have scouts, put bids in for players they need and sign them for the positions they require
Whereas we - well you know.

I don't think I really need to blame city for our transfer policy. Perhaps if we hadn't paid far too much for Franca and Nketiah, then we might have bought a left back at some stage.Having limitless transfer and wage funds does help as well. Yeah I agree with you. I think both things are true. Our transfer business was shambolic. Nketiah was a poor signing based on evidence so far. Given we’ve been chasing him and Sarr for ages I also can’t see why those deals weren’t in place for the start of the window rather than Nketiah being signed on 30th August. The really criminal one was selling Andersen so late in the window. Completely messed up our defensive unit and I’d argue we still haven’t fully adjusted.I don't think I really need to blame city for our transfer policy. I'm wondering why no one is berating the club over renewals that clearly need to happen too.
We could offer Zaha a crazy amount but we can't renew Mitchell, despite having no one for that position other than him. It's unforgivable - we just forgive it because we're used to amateur hour transfers and silly goings on.
Enough about ManureSo does breaking every financial rule, law, and regulation, having a manager who's above criticism. and players who make commentators moist with excitement.
They're all Mancs. Well, not the owners, players or managers. But some of the fans. Probably.Enough about Manure

They’re fairly similar, but looking at the evidence so far just from that one goal yesterday, it looks like we’ll get more goals and more breaks forward and getting in the box from Devenny, where as Wharton is always looking to pass rather than driving into the box himself
You seem to imagine transfers are simple, players can only be signed, when the selling club agrees they can go. Often they wont release until they have a deal in place for someone else.Yeah I agree with you. I think both things are true. Our transfer business was shambolic. Andersen was offered £150k a week on a 5 year deal, which we didnt wish to match and LaCroix was ready, so sold at a profit. Nketiah may not of been our main target, which we couldnt get, so he was signed as an alternative.
There is a reason for everything, we arent Chelsea or M Utd etc who just throw silly amounts around to get players, we should all know that by now.

Repeatedly.
Season after season.
You also can’t argue our transfers were anything other than a mess this summer and it has hurt us.
We are not a Chelsea with lots of money but that doesn’t explain why clubs like Brentford for example seem to be able to manage their offseason much better than we do.
Yes that is a balanced view to be fair and you are right. We have made some excellent signings. This window was a mess but yes I and others probably need to give a bit more credit for the overall transfer record of the last few seasons. No club gets every player right. Dougie and Steve more than enough right.
Very easy to only look at the bad transfers atm.
(we are also part way through a season so no reason Kamada, Nketiah etc wont come right in time)
