Eagles playing at the World Cup

This is the collective thread for discussions of our players when they are wearing a national shirt. I was going to call it 'Eagles at the World Cup' .....but i didn't want to hear about a drunken fat fecker with a South London accent buying cheeseburgers. Start your own thread if you are Stateside and confused at the inability of an american 'bartender' to understand the King's English.

So it is Eagles PLAYING at the World Cup.

Expected to travel are the following 12 players;

England: Hendo
Colombia: Muñoz, Lerma
France: Lacroix, Mateta
Senegal: Sarr
Spain: Yeremy
Japan: Kamada
Norway: Strand-Larsen
USA: Richards
Côte d'Ivoire: Guessand
Morrocco: Riad

We have a full squad basically travelling to the world cup. Unfortunately only one for England, in my mind there are a couple that can be very aggrieved of that.

Lacroix and Mateta will be reunited with ballon d'or candidate Olise. Henderson will be reunited with Guéhi and Eze. Strand-Larsen will link-up with one-time eagle Sørloth. Richards will be reunited with Turner.

Spain are currently favourites at 5/1, just pipping France who I personally fancy for it at 6/1. England come in third at 8/1, we've always got a shot at it and I do expect us to go deep.

Interestingly for us, a number of lesser storied nations with our players in have the potential to be dark horses; namely Colombia, Morocco, Senegal, Norway, and USA on home soil.

The Norwegian side is definitely strong in attack with Haaland, Sørloth, and Strand-Larsen a formidable three, but the team behind them are no mugs either.

Yes I remember him going to Barnsley and commenting that it would help his World Cup chances, it was to your post at the time

Damien Delaney does much punditry on irish telly. For the World Cup.....Hopefully we can hear his dulcet Cork tones and not that hypocritical ManUre t0sser with the white beard.
