Kamada

A real shame - the most underrated part of our cup-winning side for me. A vital cog.

Despite some huge performances at Wembley and elsewhere, a lot of our fans have never really warmed to him which is a shame.

Against Villa and Citeh he was immense, arguably moreso against Villa, and I think it was widely acknowledged that he ran the show in that one. Given that's the level he can play at, I don't think we've seen it enough. Not good enough to be our highest earning player.

I've never understood the fixation on his wages - it just the nature of signing people on a free, particularly internationals with a load of pedigree.

1 assist and no goals in 49 Premier League appearances says it all really. Technically good on the ball, but he has always looked lightweight and has only really shone in a few games.

I am not expecting Kamada to be at our club next season.
Not really an insightful prediction as the article states that

Latest from Sky Sports News' James Savundra:

Daichi Kamada is set to leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season.

The Japan international's contract expires in the summer and there is full expectation he will depart when that happens.

There are currently no active conversations about extending his stay at Selhurst Park.

He's unspectacular; doesn't score, no admirable physical traits (strength, speed etc.), no world class set-pieces, defending or even passing. I think this draws a lot of criticism.

I really do think however that in an easilly missed, almost unnoticable way, he is a 'vital cog' as opposed to an outstanding inidivdual talent.

Was part of our FA Cup winning side, that should never be forgotten, and to be frank we've looked awful the last couple of months... his absence may again be unnoticed by many but perhaps linked to our struggles. From my observations, he helps us both retain the ball and move it in such a way to link midfield and attack, he also has great defensive positioning. Again, traits which go unnoticed however contribute greatly to the team's success, allowing the individual talents to flourish.

I never perused the article before I contributed to the debate.
I am an 'Intellectual vacuum' accordingly "Insightful predictions" are not in my gift.

Yes - strange one really!

At times, you bang your head in disbelief in how awful he has played, but then he makes up for it with match winning performances a few weeks later.

Again on Sunday, he made a difference when he came on. He does not have the defensive attributes of Hughes, but his play is more attacking by nature and always looks to play the ball forward.

Not sure he has completely settled in the UK, and will be looking to move on at the end of the season with a couple of medals under his belt.

He's a Glasner Boy.

Only at Palace for that reason.

There doesn't appear to be an appetite on either side to negotiate a new contract.

So, that's £100k per week freed up. If we can move Nketiah on as well plus Mateta then that's £250k per week in the kitty.
