1st Leg 3 goals up - how would you play it out

We do what Leeds did at Stamford Bridge last night and rush into an early 1-0 lead. Then we can afford to keep possession and defend an unassailable lead.

Easy peasy!

He will set up like normal and instruct them to soak up early pressure before nicking one on the break.
Fiorentina played Monday night so have a day's less rest, they looked pony for most of the game the other night so for once I am confident of a positive outcome.

i think our formation is ideal for this away leg, as it is designed to counter attack.

Having said that the 1st half press caused them massive problems so we need to continue this. When we let them play as per 20 minutes after half time they looked a decent team

I think I'd play the same side as in the first leg, Munoz and Sarr are linking well again and Pino looked ok with more time and central. Play it like it's 0-0 and get the job done. No stupid red cards and we should be ok.

i say we defend deep, with a low block. And then catch them on the break with a Long ball. The Italians don't like the long-ball game, as proven in World Cup at New York 1994.

Keep JP standing near the halfway line, while the rest of us are defending. That will put manners on these art-gallery panini mozzarella feckers.

At 0-3 down and with nothing to lose, they will possibly seek to throw caution to the wind. That's what normally happens, anyway. If they get the first goal then there will be a slight surge of hope for them and of worry for us. Again, that's what normally happens, anyway.

Personally, I think the best approach is to keep our shape, drop off deep if in doubt, but make absolutely certain to demonstrate a threat on the break. Even if we don't create anything, so long as they know we can break away at any time, that should put enough doubt in their minds to prevent them flooding all over us. Get to the hour mark goalless and they'll either give up or leave such wide open gaps that it would be rude not to score against them.

Just play the same way they always do, but with a bit more caution to slow things down and hit them on the counter.

Interesting side note is that Arsenal will be hoping we get through and get to the final due to it being 3 days after the last game of the season versus Arsenal. I would expect the team against Arsenal to be the reserves to take no chances. We wont be in contention for a European place. Do or die in Conference Final with a rested Sarr, Warton, Munoz, Mitchell, Lacoiux, etc.

Play a calming style. Put the majority of the under-18's on the field. 4 goalkeepers. 6 strikers. That will unsettle the opposition.
