Maybe it was felt that if Marc was involved in the presser then most of the time available would be taken up with questions about his transfer situation?
 
For me it would be JP, heart of the club, and might extend his contract 😎
 
Think Henderson did it recently too. I dont think i'd read anything into it. Probably just rotating who does the presser with him. Although, could you imagine of Olise was still here to do it with him

He also has a "follow me over the top" air about him and I love the way he tries to gee up the crowd.
He plays in a good position for captaincy as well.

We are so lucky to have got him although his value is steadily rising along with interest from others.

I seem to remember the first game Max played he was leading the chat in the huddle straight away. It impressed me immensely. And he has just continued to impress me ever since! What a man! His name was what i wore on a fresh shirt for the FA Cup final and Community shield.

I have now retired the shirt, unbeaten. I am going to frame it but want to get it signed first..... As a 40 something year old man, can i ask a footballer to sign my shirt? Or is that just tragic??!!!!!

No, it's not tragic; it's good that some players can still create admiration and connection. Eze had the same quality which is why, for me anyway, his leaving meant more than most.
I've mentioned before that Roy Barry has the same effect on Dunfermline fans - men in their seventies acting like kids around him even though until recently he was still working in the area.
It's a shame Selhurst can't create a flag with a large cross on it in La Croix's honour. Maybe not.
