It's a bit of a stalemate with Liverpool at the moment by the looks of things?
Would take Harvey Elliott for the banter🙂

Why shouldn't we ask for too much money? Kane and rice were in the last year of their contracts and went for 100 million each. Kane was also hitting 30 so no resale value.Would be surprised if Liverpool go for him, we would ask far too much money for a player in the last year of their contract. He wouldn't improve their first team, will be a replacement for konate, They can afford to wait and get him on a free next season. It works for Guehi aswell, another season with us, playing in Europe, almost guaranteed to start for England at the world cup and then a massive signing on fee when he goes to Liverpool.
The problem for Liverpool is that if they wait till next Summer some of the big European clubs may well come for Guehi. Would he prefer Liverpool to Real Madrid, Barcelona etc.?Would be surprised if Liverpool go for him, we would ask far too much money for a player in the last year of their contract. Whilst I agree with your post, I'm not sure wages are a primary factor with MG, his agents, yes.The problem for Liverpool is that if they wait till next Summer some of the big European clubs may well come for Guehi. Would he prefer Liverpool to Real Madrid, Barcelona etc.?
The likes of Real and Barca may not have the purchasing power but they can pay top wages and their style of play may well suit Guehi better.
Not great business sense is it, take the money on offer and replace, now i understand you views on retirement 🤣IF Palace are prepared to let Guehi's contract run down to zero where he leaves on a free we have every right to ask whatever we want and Liverpool can do one if they dont like it. The arrogance of them is one of the reasons I cant stand them.
Set the asking price at £70m. Tada scousers

Let them come back when Van Dyke's out for the season.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it agent Hughes, is to launch that long headed Dutch man into the Arthur at high speed with furious vengeance.Who is our dirtiest player? Bring him on with 20 to go on August 9th with one job.
It's only barca, Madrid and city who can compete with Liverpool at this moment in time when it comes to attracting players, Madrid are apparently signing konate when his contract runs out so that takes them out the picture, I really dont see any other competition for Liverpool when it comes to Guehi. The problem for Liverpool is that if they wait till next Summer some of the big European clubs may well come for Guehi. If Guehi runs his contract down, Madrid might just change their minds and go for him instead. It's only barca, Madrid and city who can compete with Liverpool at this moment in time when it comes to attracting players, Madrid are apparently signing konate when his contract runs out so that takes them out the picture, I really dont see any other competition for Liverpool when it comes to Guehi.
