Crystal Palace vs. Larnac match thread

The player on the ball looked up and saw statues, any movement came from preset patterns. Lanarca dealt with it quite easily and we got worse as the game progressed. As Willo mentions subbing JSL for the useless Mateta says it all.

    Glasner Out

No. Since returning to the EPL we are where we are through a combination of factors, the manager is just one of them. Our position remains more or less in the 12th to 14th bracket and the players are of that level, any who are better are picked up quickly, as we have seen. Glasner deserves...

Crystal Palace vs. Larnac match thread

When I saw the line up I thought "he's at it again" - shoehorning players to suit his one and only style. Larnarca were good and their goalie did his job, when we had the ball there was scant movement ahead, it was all very static. As I say, little energy. Poor effort. I look forward to Glasner...

Crystal Palace vs. Larnac match thread

We're not very good. The manager has one way of playing and the players lack energy and composure. Larnaca are good at what they do and we don't have the answer.

That's why it's with cherries on top.

    Glasner Out

Indeed. I call it Royball with cherries on top. But Glasner had players of the calibre of Olise, Eze, and Guehi at his disposal, including inform stints from the likes of Munoz and Mateta. The cup win was straight out of the Royball manual. Let's not forget we still finished 12th in the league...

    Gallagher

He was fantastic for us for two thirds of a season. That was then. Now he comes on as a sub for Spurs and is on 200k a week! Some fans need to give their heads a wobble.

    The Spurs Meltdown

Spuds players body language is telling, they've give up.

    Annual purple patch 🟣

Any resurgence will be due to players familiarising themselves with their teammates, new combinations coming together to carry out the gameplan. Spurs are so piss poor that that wasn't a game to make bold statements upon, nevertheless JSL and Sarr seem to be getting used to each other and it was...

What a shambles the Spuds are ha ha ha ha. 3 points and most importantly finding the net again!

Sarr on a hat trick and about time Wharton broke his duck. Hoping for a thoroughly professional performance second half.

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace match thread

This is a matter of holding our nerve and passing to a player in the same colour shirt for the duration of the second half. In other news, Canvot never seems quite as alert to danger as he should be.

    VAR bear with me

    VAR bear with me

Paint a new line midway between the goal line and the halfway line - offside is from this line, not the halfway line as a present.

    VAR bear with me

What hasn't been mentioned is the level of cheating, it's rife, and the way I see it, is a reflection of the sport itself. VAR is just another layer, a tool to be used by corrupt officials to fit the narrative. The public gets what it deserves, perhaps there's a wish for some drama to liven up...

Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Something like this would be a start. Cheating is so ingrained in some players and promoted by their managers that they almost seem oblivious to the fact that multiple cameras are present and their cheating is caught for posterity.

Indeed. Because the authorities themselves are complicit. How could it be otherwise?

Don't hold your breath. Manchester City and the 115 charges? 3 years on and still no verdict. Money talks! I guess it's natural to think that if there's nothing to hide then all would have been revealed by now. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c62dny013zno

I have wondered the same, and did some investigating. All of the refs in the select group, bar one, are from the North. Quite a few are from the Manchester area. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Select_Group
