    Marinakis suing Palace for Defamation

"Milord, the banner stated a numbers of things saying I was not any of them. This upset me, and I'm here to verify before the court that in fact I am those things it was said I am not". "Case dismissed".

    Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

I recall last season (15th place finish) games where Glasner had to rely on players other than Wharton and Kamada. We all saw the reality, games where we could barely muster an attempt on goal due to the weakened midfield and a clear lack of creativity. I'll grant that they did help fill out the...

    welcome to Brennan Johnson

What is it with Brennan Johnson? The club seems desperate to get rid of him, even accepting a swap for a crap Everton player, bizarre. Does he fart continuously in the changing room while the manager is giving a team talk? Palace have had many other rubbish players who lasted longer, there must...

    Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

I mentioned this last season. Well it's good to see Kamada sign for another season, but aside from Wharton the rest are Championship quality, and of course there's Doucoure who will need careful management. That said it's good to see the club looking around with just 2 weeks until the new season...

    Team vs Fulham

Two weeks from now the team will be in the away changing room, getting ready for the first game of the new season. Does Sage know his starting 11?

    welcome to Brennan Johnson

Yes, definitely. I'm hoping for Pino to have a good season, he's got the skillset so it's a matter of decision making and it's where I'd expect Sage to make an impression. And for the reasons you mention I don't hold out much hope for Johnson, his place is up for grabs.

    Franca and Doucouré

    I'd settle for Romario.

    welcome to Brennan Johnson

Although Pino has the positive mindset to try the things you suggest, in the end he ended up losing the ball a bit too much, so it becomes frustrating when a move breaks down and it is often due to poor decision making - in the end the result is the same: a good opportunity is wasted. We saw a...

    Tomiyasu

Japanese fan club shirt sales - smart move. A decent signing if he stays fit.

    Nketiah

The Como Cup games were semi competitive training sessions - yes I suppose Eddie did ok but he's not the type of player to hold the line nor a number 10 so how is Sage going to use him? Super sub?

    welcome to Brennan Johnson

There's no excuse for him this season - if he's in Sage's starting line up he'll have to listen to the manager's instructions and execute them as competently as possible. Moves shouldn't break down when the ball comes to him; Pino was also an offender last season. Still, a clean slate and a...

Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

Finished 15th, flirted with relegation despite having players of international standard, indeed a number of whom turned out for the recent WC. What's going to be different this season? Lightweight squad that struggles after a few injuries. Same as it ever was. Bring it on.

    Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

Scott Dann is who you meant to say.

Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

Regarding the "better" players - yes, they were going to leave and Parish did the best business deals he could at the time, but let's be mindful of the fact that it was a combination of playing for Palace and the managers and personalities at the club that brought the likes of Guehi, Olise, Eze...

Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

A realistic post. Last season's league form was woeful, a poorly placed finish of 15th was a warning signal that winning the tin pot Conference Cup doesn't paper over the deficiencies in the squad or recruitment. Perhaps it's the Glasner effect, or maybe it's Parish selling the better players...

Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

Glasner definitely got a tune out of Mateta, who was genuinely abysmal previously. Here's hoping Sage can have the same effect on the likes of Johnson and Nketiah. As for Canvot I like him, and I would think that Sage can express what he wants from him better in French than in English. Speaking...

Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

There was potential in the squad that OG inherited, it hadn't performed under Hodgson but Glasner made it real - so much so that Parish was able to cash in... We can but hope that Sage can lift those players that have yet to attain the levels that they may be capable of.

Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

I don't know how long you think he and the squad needs, the season starts 22nd August and therefore evaluation of Sage and the team's performance begin then - the line up, the tactics, the substitutions, the demeanour on the side line, the interviews, and of course, the performance overall.

Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

Lacroix leaving doesn't surprise me, I get the impression Parish will cash in on any player if the offer meets his approval. It just so happens that it's our, surprise surprise, best players that have left and therefore replacing them needs quality scouting and recruitment which, imho, we don't...

    Realistic Options for Transfers

Yes, I would have thought that with the new season starting this month Sage would have his first team pencilled in and training together in semi competitive games (the Como Cup being the ideal pre season training exercise). Excuses about the the first teamers having just come back from the WC...
