    War in Ukraine

Why wouldn't people trust the EU and the BBC, and just give these people all our money and weapons? It's so hard to fathom :sneaky:

    War in Ukraine

Wait. You trust Wikipedia? The George Soros and Bill Gates funded Wikipedia? What would your profile pic hero say about that? lol The same George Soros who funds the NGOs to flood the UK with an invading dingy army? You're betraying the people who fought two world wars with us as our allies...

    War in Ukraine

A lot of them (Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia) also clamoured to join the Axis in WW2. The Mongols had legions of willing puppets, too. Same with all the 'top dog' military empires since the dawn of time. In the Early 2000s, even Vladimir Putin discussed the idea of Russia joining NATO...

    War in Ukraine

What do you think they were shelling? Did they just not like the design of the residential apartment blocks they were targeting?

I'm so proud of both Marc and Wilf for the stands they took.

Let's Kick Politics out of Football

Wasn't the kneeling originally because it was being kneeled upon that supposedly killed George Floyd? (Even though the post mortem actually showed it was fentanyl) Don't get me wrong, because I agree it was stupid to introduce taking the knee at football, either way. And it wouldn't surprise...

    War in Ukraine

Not twisting anything mate. You said it was fine for the Ukrainians to shell people in their own territory. Now you've said it again. So we're all clear and understood.

    War in Ukraine

No. The point of your post was it was fine for Ukrainians to shell people, because the victims were in Ukrainian territory at the time. You read your own post again.

    War in Ukraine

Well Chechnya was and is part of Russia. The war, was at least partly driven by Islamic extremism from the Chechens. But, hey ...lets all blame the Russians anyway. As in Syria, Libya and Rotherham the Western establishment can be relied upon to back the Jihadists when it comes to the crunch...

    War in Ukraine

So that's OK then? Like it was OK when Yugoslavia/Serbia did it in the 90s? Is that what you mean?

    War in Ukraine

Chicken and egg. Russia was provoked by the threat of Ukraine joining NATO, after the CIA-backed coup of 2014. Plus the Ukrainian military shelling ethnic Russians in those regions.

    War in Ukraine

Ridiculous. None of them were ever ruled by Putin. That ship sailed in 1990. NATO could always stick to their promise. NATO doesn't have to accept new members. The Warsaw Pact disbanded on the basis of a NATO promise not to expand eastwards, see how that turned out.

    War in Ukraine

Apparently, NATO isn't interested in territorial expansion, only in defending itself. Do people say this with a straight face? Is the power of BBC brainwashing that strong?

    War in Ukraine

I wonder if Putin has a big one targeted on Truro? My fear is he thinks it's not worth bothering with.

    War in Ukraine

LoL. Just think - You can marvel at the military tech as it approaches, and find joy in the knowledge that a rusty Trident will be winding up to misfire into Siberia.

    Working Class

I know what you mean, but birth and parents can't be the only thing that counts. At some point money and current status has to be a factor as well. Where would you place Lord Prescott, Lord Tebbit, and Baroness Floella Benjamin? All born into working class households. But working class Lords...

    Palace fans causing disorder

I can think of a few reasons they might want to cover their identities. Such as holding up banners accusing Marinakis of all sorts, with the risk of being identified and sued.

    The new upper class.

    Working Class

Well, as you said, the term feels very dated and consigned to history. So it seems a bit contradictory to then use it to define us ;) . But if we must define it, I would say you are working class. Nurse is semi-skilled, but blue-collar, and not professional. If she was a Doctor you would be...
