Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

Granted. Things are looking better than 2010, certainly. He has the best first 11 and best manager since then. Coppell and the final that could and should have been was 35 years ago, history. What is important today is where Parish sees it going from here on in, particularly after finally having...

Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

At this stage it might be cheaper to employ a hypnotist, who, an hour before the match, convinces Edouard that he is Ronaldo (the Brazilian one), Romario, Didier Drogba, and Jimmy Greaves rolled into one...

Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Tarquin is just on a wind-up, don't worry about it. We won the FA Cup, are about to compete in the Community Shield, and have a date in Europe next season, sounds fine!

Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

On the other hand, if Palace lose, they're correct. Parish would have been appraised by his legal team regarding the finer points and technicalities and yet went ahead anyway. We shall know soon enough.

Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

I get the impression that Parish is hoping to shine a light into the murky corners of UEFA goings on. We shall know soon enough.

The CF position looks thin. If, heaven forbid, Mateta was to get a knock that has him out for a month, and with Nketiah already out, that leaves Edouard to fill the spot - what irony! Unless OG was to stick Sarr upfront, which would call for a change in tactics, what with Sarr not being the type...

    Crystal Palace are stagnating. Again.

I reckon those of Coventry, Wimbledon, and Wigan must have been too!

    Crystal Palace are stagnating. Again.

As I mentioned on another thread Palace are at the crossroads; after happily bobbing along season after season with an average 12th place league finish (and as Steve Parish stated in an enlightening interview retaining Premiership status is crucial to the plan), therefore actually winning...

Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

You have missed the most cunning of cunning plans, the return of the prodigal son Edouard, once banished to the hinterland but now reinstated to wreak havoc on unsuspecting Premiership defences. So it is written and so it will be!

Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

It's the same thing every season. First team good enough until injuries, suspensions, African Nations Cup kick in, then it's over to shuffling the pack, some emergency cover in January, etc etc. Winning the FA Cup and qualifying for Europe have led some folk to great expectations, but if one...

Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

Without wishing to sound too harsh, these 3 can be ruled out of future plans, I can't envisage them getting fit, staying fit, and then making a claim for a first team place anytime soon. A great pity about Doucoure, as he was decent.

An inexplicable signing, none of it makes sense. £20 odd million for an injured player with only a handful of games under his belt, relocating over five and a half thousand miles to play in one of the toughest leagues in the world away from friends and family. Highly dubious. The samba fanfare...

Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

The final CAS ruling will be very revealing. I can't believe Parish has gone to these lengths out of vanity, knowing the club messed up but thinks that taking it to arbitration will somehow put it right. Then again it all seems a bit too shady for CAS to uphold the original UEFA decision. And...

    Paqueta and Trossard

Rumour has it that Steve Parish now has a plaque on his office wall with the immortal legend "I will not do business with Arsenal" inscribed on it...

Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

Yes, when one recalls how the players looked unfit during the Hodgson and Vieira days, it seems to me highly likely that Glasner and his team have improved greatly the fitness and training regime.

Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

Thus it has ever been! The first 11 is arguably better than previous sides in recent memory (eternal 12th place finish aside) but a lot of this has to do with Glasner, who has the vision, motivation, and tactical know-how to inspire to greater heights. That said, personally I feel that we are at...

Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

A lot of pointless bickering on this thread. If the players that featured in the FA cup victory are still here at the start of the season, I'd like to see us improve on our Premiership total. Given our average of 12th place, up to 8th and if possible higher, would be a real signal of intent and...

Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

I don't think Glasner was whining, it seems to me that it's just part of the mind games involved. Glasner knows how the club is run, he's right in the middle of it!

Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

I empathise. We'll never know what we might have achieved if Olise would have been here last season. We didn't do too bad, but as the club is what it is, our best players will be approached. So it's now or never with this current set, good manager, good first 11, who knows how long it will last?
