    2025 FA Cup Final thread

Noteworthy to mention how everything fell into place at the right time, the players appear totally focused with OG's approach - it's just a case of fine tuning, Eze free and natural rather than overcooking the situation, Kamada, linking up play and being in the right place at the right time...

    2025 FA Cup Final thread

I recall Mark Hughes in 1990 equalising and the non event replay without Ian Wright and the disappointment thereafter. Even worse against Manchester United in 2016 with one of the most awful refereeing displays ever seen. All that during the most terrible time of my life as well, I didn't want...

    Nketiah?

I'd prefer that Franca had the opportunities from the subs bench that Nketiah has had. I feel certain he would have done far better. They both cost a fair packet too, one has to start performing.

    Spurs v Palace match thread

A good convincing win and a nice aerobic warm up for the final. Good to see OG use the full range of subs and I think they will all play a part in some shape or form in the final.

    Nketiah?

I questioned why we signed him, I don't rate him although like most folk I thought he had to been given a chance to shine. Unfortunately once again he fluffed his lines completely with a woeful attempt straight at the keeper - it was as though he wanted to get rid of the ball as quickly as...

Crystal Palace vs. Nottingham Forest match thread

A fair result, both sides had some decent chances. As for Eddie Nketiah, he's like the kid in the playground who is trying so hard to impress and yet, for whatever reason, just doesn't have it. Relax Eddie, we want you to do well, although whilst Mateta is here you'll have limited game time.

    Kamada will be an asset

In all honesty he needed to step up after a slow start. It can only be good for him and the club, so long may it continue!

    Semi Final Match Thread

Quite clearly OG has improved all the players in his charge. I must say that they appeared at home on the larger Wembley pitch, the front 3 in particular had acres of space to gallop into.

    Semi Final Match Thread

Magnificent result in which everyone contributed, a real team performance! Players who I'd held a question mark to all stepped up to the plate, every player 10/10. Special praise for OG in getting everything spot on!

    Semi Final Match Thread

We need another penalty taker , the likes of midfield generals like Milo and Jedi spring to mind. Aside from that, all's well. A good time to bring on Hughes too.

    Nketiah?

He has a poor first touch which takes the ball away from where he wants to go / should be.

    Arsenal V Palace match thread

I suspect OG knows his starting line up - despite the nature of the two heavy defeats he has been resting key players to avoid burn out / injury / suspensions. This well earned draw has come just at the right time for confidence and morale.

"Ok lads, Plan A - Keep it tight for the first 15 minutes and then take it to them. Oh."

    Bournemouth match thread

Let's clear the table of "was it, wasn't it" discussion regarding Richards' second yellow and assume that he did pull back the Bournemouth player and the second yellow was correct. What then exempted the two Bournemouth players from those same rules that applied to Richards, and for offences...

    Bournemouth match thread

Firstly, a dreadful advert for Premiership football and its overpaid "stars". Two teams safe in mid-table obscurity live to fight for another season. Secondly, the ref. Incompetent or just plain bent? Refs who know they have messed up usually try to balance it up and this chump had ample...

Draw. And if so, then it will be played 33 won 11 drawn 11 lost 11. Consistent.

Newcastle vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Would you say that this was because the ball didn't reach them in areas where they could do their stuff, or when they did get the ball they were clueless, or maybe it was it a matter of them not pressing the Newcastle defence or contributing to the more defensive nature of Glasner's plan?

Why didnt mateta take penalty vs Newcastle

I agree that the substitution was odd given the nature of that particular game, but it's a leap of faith to suggest there's been some kind of falling out without firm evidence. Disagreements happen all the time in the workplace. One has to get on with it.
