Bilal El Khannouss

Apparently Spuds have now moved for this lad, matching our offer and beating our wage offer. I guess we move on.
Could be a blessing in disguise. A few names are emerging that might suit us better.
Well I will be disappointed if we don't get Khannouss. He looks quality.

Lads I think thia guy may be the ready made ebs replacement and might make a bigger impact than el-khanouss. He doesnt necessarily have the expansive passing of El-Khanouss but he does have high proficiency of taking the ball on the turn and driving. He seems to have an eye for goal as well (stats do flatter to decieve though). He also is a left sided player who cuts in with his stronger right foot. Looks like hes technically gifted as well. All im saying is that if he cost like 15 million ( Leipzig view him as a squad player) then it would be a steal in the vein of ismailia sarr probably even better. The balance between baumgartner + sarr + mateta would be mint.
Hope he is better than the team. Thy lost 6-0 to Bayern in their first game.

If we'd got him for his release clause he would have been a risk worth taking, but £35 million is mad for a player who seemingly only showed glimpses of promise last season. Palace are right to walk away at that price if this rumour is true. It might also explain why we've seen stronger rumours about other options. Maybe one of them might even come to fruition!

Glad it fell through, the Austrian looks better and cheaper, my good mate, Leicester fan, watches all their games and on a similar Leicester forum, says, he is 2/3 years away from being ready, and if we had paid the money we would have had our pants pulled down.

I dont think Glasner rates Esse. Not yet at any rate. There was the embarrassment of him coming on against Liverpool, Glasner throwing his arms in the air and then him getting taken off again. Then the other day when asked if Esse could be a replacement for Eze he gave an instant flat 'no'. Said while he did very well at Millwall he has not so far progressed from that stage.
Then there was the rumour that Palace offered him as a makeweight to Southampton when discussing Tyler Dibling which Saints were instantly said to have said no thanks. That last one may not be true but I think its fair to say he is only currently getting minutes because our bench is so threadbare at the moment.
There was a strange comment from Glasner when Esse first signed. Obviously a Freedman signing. He was asked something along the lines I think about Esse's positive attributes and his reply was something like he lives a short walk from the training ground. Not the kind of answer you'd expect if he was keen on the signing.

That sounds like a comical answer you’d get off of Sam Allardyce or Harry Redknapp about a player🤣

OK, so let me understand this.

This kid was the nuts and highest valued player in the Championship.

The deal falls through and suddenly he's crap and move on.

Would I have that right?

BTW, Pino does look the business. A Spanish full international! Playing for us!?!

(Won't happen will it?) 😒
I think the consensus is he IS a good player. Full of potential and would be a good signing but who (apart from West Ham and Everton) pays £35m for potential?
Its not only too much, its Leicester trying to take advantage of our need and knowing we have the Eze money.
I think its right to move on.
