Immigration

It hasn’t been mentioned on here yet but The Home Office are appealing The Britannia Hotel in Epping being closed. Before it was Yvette Cooper it was revealed Cooper was appealing this so if her traitors get their way it could be very bad for locals around the country. You have no voice or say. The invasion of illegal immigrants continues even if you object. We gave you no voice or opinion and we’ll have wishes overturned.

Same with new housing estates; locals, parish council, district council, county council, local MP all against…but government inspectors overturn and permit. There is absolutely no local democracy; only dictatorship.

How is Gary Linekar help these days? He’s gone pretty quiet.
Probably preparing for his new ITV game show. He has already had one go and failed a couple of years back so I don't quite get why ITV think he is up to the job.

You need a big likeable personality to be a GSH, lots think they can do it but most fail. The benchmark is Bruce Forsyth, Bob Monkhouse and the 2 Geordies, he's not in that league.

If every local government says not in our back yard how will anything get done?

There has to be oversight by and ultimate control from central government.

Gone are the days when villages went to war with their neighbours. Everywhere there is the chance to review, revise and object to new developments but at the end of the day there must be a national plan to achieve national objectives. Subsidiarity rules.

It’s happening where I live. A developer has announced it will submit an application for a new development which would add 25% more homes to the village. There is already a campaign against it. Meetings, petitions and protests. Before any detail is known or the planners have commented on the increased infrastructure that would be needed.

Of course it will be appealed and if either the application is refused or the appeal fails there will have to be emergency new legislation to reverse it, or at least modify or limit its application.

You cannot have a situation where local authorities can stymie the national policy. They can refuse permission because of the unsuitability of certain sites but must cooperate and take their share of the national need.

What national need? The need is in your head. The national need is stop all of it. When do we stop? How many hundreds of thousands per year? How millions of legal migrants per year? 10 million too many.

And therein lays part of the problem; infrastructure, there is none to support the size of the existing village and no plans to provide any. So just accept it ‘for the greater good’…

There is no national need for this. They are non skilled economic migrants.

Mohammed of Somalia disagrees with you, and he has the endorsement of the BBC

But whilst EVERYONE WITH A FLAG is branded a racist or fascist, we shouldn't group these economic migrants, despite...

Hadush Kebatu, (Ethiopia) 41, is charged with trying to incite a local teenage girl into sexual activity.
Mohammed Sharwarq, 32, a Syrian national who has been living at The Bell, faces assault charges and one charge of sexual assault.

Perhaps Wisbech can offer him work, plantation style

Farage will win the next election, this is the elephant in the room.

I would use Ascension. It's a rock with a military base on it. You could just restrict access easily and deport from there with nobody even knowing.

It had always amazed me that the French don’t do something similar. I appreciate that I have no idea of the suitability of what I am proposing, but what the UK has as overseas territories, the French actually classify as being a district of France. Consequently anybody moved to one of their many islands around the world would legally only be being moved within France, not being moved overseas. Not sure the liberals would have any legal route to complain.

Your wasting your breath he doesn't understand that the number of vacancies in the UK has been in SERIOUS decline since COVID, the last thing we need in this country is more unskilled labour.

I read the other day that the major high street banks have closed 6000 branches across the country since 2015. That is just one example.

They are asylum seekers awaiting decisions on their applications! There is a need to accommodate them whilst that happens.

I know you think we ought to just sink the boats or send them back to France but neither is being done at the moment and is very unlikely anytime soon.

So there is a need. Whether you think there is a need for non skilled economic migrants is an entirely separate issue.

You are dreaming!

There is a need now.

You can dream about eliminating a future need but cannot ignore the reality that right now one exists.
yeah, we need nurses and police and teachers, etc, etc. but don't have the money to pay for them.
Don't tell me that dinghy's in the channel are all full of hardworking electricians, plumbers, and medical specialists.
We don't need more criminals, drug dealers and burdens on our society and our finances
