It’s nothing to do with creativity. OG knows how he wants the team to play and he needs them to all play that way. If Esse ignores these instructions then he is of no use to OG.

It shows the limitations of Glasner, we didn't need 3 CDs, the WB can still play high with 2 CDs and Rak-Sakyi or Esse could have played upfront, he is great at the one trick, but isn't flexible enough to manage at a top club, which is good so he can stay at Palace.

Don't agree one of the main knocks against ebs was his defensive work rate especially compared to player closer to his level e.g. Michael olise
