Bilal El Khannouss

For 3 seasons minimum Mateta was the sub, don't write Nketiah off yet. Some players take time to develop, let's hope that finisher we saw at Arsenal re-emerges
Matetea had to adapt to the PL, unlike Nketiah, and was less than half the price.
Hopefully, Eddie will come good, but none of his goals for us against PL opposition have influenced the result apart from the two in the, after the Lord Mayor's show, game against Wolves. He obviously lacks the other attributes for our system in terms of hold up and link play.

Eddie will smash it in the conference and cups. Maybe that will be his contribution !!!

Sadly I could see us getting gazzumped by Spurs now Eze looks like.his is on his way to Arsenal.

But more worrying perhaps is that there are pretty strong signals that we had to sell before we could buy - otherwise deals would have been done by now.

Clearly we have some cashflow issues which bearing in mind we have just won two trophies and are in Europe for the first time.
I think they will go for Dibling and maybe Savinho

The consensus from Leicester fans seems to be that he has lots of potential, but he's not ready to be relied on as a PL regular yet. Given how reliant we were on Eze for scoring and creating chances that is a big concern if we don't bring anyone else in. Of course, the hope is that in a better team he'll have more opportunity to shine.

My gut feeling is if we sign El Khannouss we'll also look to sign a more experienced player either on loan or short-term contract, partly to ease his transition but also because of AFCON. Who that would be I haven't the foggiest.
Agree. Hwang from wolves looks most likely

I don’t suppose Parish will lose any sleep over it ,but I find signing El Khannouss, completely underwhelming . He has talent but nothing he has done suggests he is more than another one for the future more than right now. Added to that the fee is inflated considering the point just made. Off thread but Dybling at £45 mill plus is even more alarming if true. Probably nothing in that one.

We tried to add depth in Franca and Esse but neither have worked out so far. Franca injuries suggest that will not happen. Esse needs to adapt to Glasners style to get in the team, same for JRS. Riad in defence is another, such a shame as otherwise we would have cover for Guehi. Busy week ahead for Parish and co

Not to say it won't work for either of them but Dybling has an air of Evan Ferguson about him - a lot of buzz too quickly which might not lead to much.

Very hard to guage Riad as he has barely played.

I'll make the case for him.

He looks like a class winger to me....close control and quick feet.....and quick feet can't be taught.

He was playing in a relegation team and his stats have to reflect how much attacking time the team has and what role they are giving him.

He's 21, that future is pretty much now. Personally I think it's a calculated but sensible buy.

Only the top five clubs get the stunningly obvious stars.....middle and lower clubs have to take a bit of a punt.

Just as we are honest with Eze’s weaknesses on fan forums, I tend to trust the Leicester fans when it comes to BEK rather than a highlights video.

They didn’t think he was worth his £20m release clause so are absolutely delighted to be moving him on for more than that figure. Reading a few of their comments I get the feeling he is viewed a bit like we view Esse, so potentially ok but nothing proven to date. For that reason alone I reckon it’s a bit of a risk signing him especially when we will be looking for a starter in that position.

Glasner probably sees Kamada as Eze’s immediate replacement, however that in itself is a downgrade from a creativity point of view and of course he is injured.

Couldn't agree more.

Its worth noting that he's younger than Eze was when we signed him. And has a season of prem football and 20 international caps under his belt.

As Sarr was with Olise, he's not going to be a like for like. But hopefully can have simular impact

Your making some valid points, I would agree 100% if he was being brought in as an addition to the squad which we needed anyway, and hopefully developed but even then at a lower fee. All I can say at this point in time is I don’t particularly fancy this punt.

Do we still fancy Khannouss or do we like this guy better?

I wonder if he's Glasner's pick or the new guy's.
