There's a chance, of course, that UEFA will suspect some underhand multi-club linkage and start a due diligence programme to see if they can prevent us playing.

Not that I'm being cynical you understand.

They could put their name into a blind trust perhaps, and compete for one season as the 'Go-Ahead Falcons'?

After yesterday I don't really care which competition we're in. We should be able to smash everyone else in the conference league. So bring it on.

But our primary objective should be humiliating Forest on the 24th. They're not the side they think they are.

They never actually qualified for ANY European place, they were handed the conference place that Newcastle won with the carabaou cup, after Newcastle qualified for Champions League.

They've had an uplift from a position they never qualified for.

Let's hope we show them up for who they are.

I dont think we know yet as there is still a lot of qualifying going on. 2nd leg of the 3rd qualifying round is this week. And us, Fiorentina, Mainz, Vallecano & Strasbourg will join in the final round of qualifying.

Looking down the teams there is a lot of dross, but also a bunch with some European pedigree, (AIK, AZ Alkmaar, Besiktas, Bondby, Sparta etc)

Three+ trophies in the space of about a year is now looking quite possible. Only a few months ago we had an empty cabinet (nobody say ZDS here please 😂)

What has everybody against the ZDS trophy ? We won it at Wembley against Everton and we should be proud of that. And by the way I wouldn’t be taking it for granted we will win this conference thing in fact I’d rather we boycott it.

I have no intention of dignifying the decision of UEFA by attending any Conference League matches.
I don't believe I would be disappointed if our supporters boycotted the games and cameras pictured a totally deserted Selhurst Park.
We cannot overturn the abhorrent decision but we can demonstrate our utter disgust at developments.

Get the frustration but I don’t think the right call. Players need our support. Far better to win it be in Europe again
