Palace v Liverpool match thread

Enjoy your day lads, you must be buzzing two Wembley wins in 3 months.

Good luck for the season ahead, hope yous get back in the Europa and get some good away days in Europe

Cheers
Fair play. You're in for a good season yourselves. Along with your other signings Frimpong will be exciting to watch - he just ghosts past defenders (well Scottish defenders anyway).

We should have been awarded a penalty for an obvious handball. Alison was off his line for the Eze penalty.
Another good day for VAR.

Justice was served in the end. We were the better team.

Now let's strengthen the squad.

And of course the commentary team haven't talked about anything else. As usual.

Liverpool fan in peace. I’m a scouser that moved to London 20 years ago so I’ve been here a long time. Palace is a brilliant football club, it’s actually similar to Everton in that the fans have stuck with the club through years of not winning trophies.

At my age, one of my first strongest season memories was the 9-0 3-4 season and I’ve always liked palace since. You’ve had some top players down the years and Glasner is now doing a brilliant job.

The foreign owners globally that are pushing a European league don’t understand the game. Palace Liverpool is always a top fixture, there have been some incredible games down the years, the 9-0, the 3-4, the 3-3 and even today even though it’s a glorified friendly.

I went to palace away the last two seasons and had met some top people, people that just love football . If not wasn’t for football most people wouldn’t speak to people from the other side of the country but it was a great game today. I thought we were brilliant first half but looked open on the break. Second half palace were well on top and deserved the equaliser. Draw was a fair result.

One thing I’ll say is I keep seeing comments about how much Liverpool have spent. 7th or 8th in the net spend league over 5 and 10 years. We spend big on players but we don’t spend big overall. We sell to spend. United city and Chelsea have done 1.5 billion net since 2015 and we have done about 400m. Very well managed club, same as palace but at a different level obviously.

If Guehi signs for us, I hope it’s this summer for a good fee. What Trent did to us is unforgivable, strung the fans along for two years and then left for a massive signing on fee and payday. I hope palace get the fee for Guehi that they deserve.

Anyway, another great game between two boss football clubs. Best of luck for the season, hopefully Guehi and Eze stay and palace cause a fee upsets this season as usual ⚽️

Can’t believe it - I didn’t give us a prayer..!!

Normal modus operandi - I was bloody crying my eyes out..!!

We’re proud of you, so proud of you, we’re proud of you Palace..!!

GTFIT..!!

COYP..!!

There are very, very few who can beat Tyrick one on one but Frimpong did that today for the goal.

Fair play.

A quick read of NSC, they are delighted for us. Admitting, that we are a good team and are desperate for Glasner to be poached by another club

Agree with this. In today’s game, that’s a stonewall pen.

I think today was exactly what we thought great 6/7 players, good 6/7 players, as we have 3 weeks left in the window, lets hope for 3/4 better squad players, Loan or Buy.
