So if music knowledge was people I would be Sark and reading lots on here some of you would be china so…
I heard car wash by rose Royce earlier and it struck me how great the intro was but after that it’s s***.
Without dissing a complete genre or artist which songs get you buzzing then a let down or a let down then a buzz after the intro.
Hope to get you guys and girls away from footy and politics for a few moments.
Any type of genre from classic to heavy rock, house to rap
Thank you

Dire Straits - Money For Nothing
Stone Roses - Love Spreads

Neither are particularly crap I suppose, but I feel they don't live up to the intro. Just my humble opinion.

Two that spring to mind
Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine
U2 - Where the Streets Have no Name.
Both of them are pretty good intros for songs that are a bit meh to me.
A favourite intro, although not as well remembered, to a song which didn't live up to it.
Exile - Gonna Kiss You All Over.

Dusty's You Don't Have to Say You Love Me has the most pointlessly bombastic intro that morphs into a pop masterpiece

I can think of a few wonderful songs ruined by pointless bridges. Mott the Hooples' Roll Away the Stone. What were they thinking with that Rockabilly Party section?

Great intro => poor songs:
A clear winner for me: Spaceman (Babylon Zoo). What a *&^%ing let down after that Levi's advert.
Honorable mention for Jam (Michael Jackson)

Poor intro => great songs:
Little Fluffy Clouds (The Orb)
Most of The Cure's stuff since the 1990s.
